What does batf/California know about me

Is there a way to find out what various agencies know about you. When/who did a background check on you. Which firearms are registered etc?

Is there a way to "unregister" a firearm if it's been stolen?

Not sure about how to unregister a stolen firearm but I am sure you can submit a Freedom of Information Act Request Letter to BATF and request that info.

Fill it out, get notarized, send in, CA DOJ will send you list of guns (handguns from forever and long guns sold after 2014) it has records of belonging to you.

Unless your actually the focus of an investigatuon or a major importer or builder, you're just one of a million faceless "owners" of firearms. I'll assume batf is run as loosely and unorganized as any other government agency

You can file a NLIP form with the state (BOF 4546), but that does not remove the entry in the state registration database, it just adds a notation.

I am assuming that if the firearm is later found and returned to you by a court or LEA, the LEGR process (BOF 119) will remove the notation.
