HELP!!!!!!! SHOULD I BUY IT? PLEASE HELP ASAP

Ok straight and to the point. I have a chance to buy a not soo common stainless steel Ruger RedHawk in .357 mag caliber 7.5inch barrel. It looks like a solid 95+% good. Only thing I really noticed was the cyclinder has that mark from rolling like all wheel guns are expected to have with use. Seller is firm at 750 won't budge at all. I like it and could be something of collectors gun down the road. Please help. I have the cash but is it really worth it? Hoping it could be an investment more than a shooter.

I guess I'd have to know how rare this model is but I would not think that I would consider buying a Ruger revolver at around 95% condition with a turn line around the cylinder to be considered AS an investment especially one that I wouldn't shoot.
but don't get me wrong I definitely buy a Ruger revolver to shoot especially if I was reloading. they are well built strong revolvers.

But it's not like it's a old rare unfired Colt or Smith and Wesson.
can you give more details to the specific rare model?

It's a RedHawk model apparently only made 1984-85 in .357 mag. 44 magnum was a dime a dozen for years but 357 www a 1/2 year deal only. The thing is built like a tank.

it depends, is there anything else you would rather have for $750 ? I love revolvers and especially rugers, but would not spend that much on one.

As a collector's item, if you think you can re-sell it a few months later for what your purchase price, then buy it.

If you just want the darn thing (value or condition be damned), then go for it. Not every purchase has to make financial sense.

Honestly not really. I've always been a huge fan of Rugers they've always been good to me. Even when my P90 broke Ruger CS gave me a champion match to replace it no fees or anything just a simple take our gun and we are sorry your last Ruger broke. That was awesome on there part I thought.

well ruger is a modern manufacturing company and in a half year of making one type of revolver ...many many of them could be out there still.

but as a comparison I was able to find one really quickly through the internet and its brand new and under $800, granted is no more comments 44 Magnum but if you're buying a large frame revolver like the Red Hawk I think the majority of people would prefer to have the large 44 Magnum.

              FAMILY:Redhawk Series  MODEL:Redhawk  TYPE:Revolver  ACTION:Double / Single Action  FINISH:Stainless  STOCK/

I guess my "if it were me" advice would be I might buy it but I wouldn't buy it as an investment ... although I will say for a lot of firearms you can come real close to breaking even almost every time.

Check Gunbroker just for a sanity check - SA revolver can still be imported to CA so it is a good comparison.

EDIT - a clean one currently listed for $975

Another one sold for $1150 in March, both 5.5" barrels.

Matching/sequential pair of 7.5" went for $2700 BNIB

Looks like they are rare - I only found those three listings.

                  As has been said:

                  For an investment, probably not.

                  As a shooter, why not?

And it seems to me that you want it, so if you can afford it, buy it!!

                  Sorry, not sorry.

Thanks skyhawk!! If u look at the pics of the 2 sequential numbered 7.5's the pic show the same marks that I was talking about on the wheel cylinder.

Don't know this gun specifically. A Ruger Redhawk that's somewhat unusual in great condition for $750 sounds like a very solid deal. And personally I get a special feeling buying Off-Roster guns that's worth about $100-$150 to me personally.
