It is a noble cause to seek liberty as our founders did by evading it if one can.
I feel the same and one day will leave when the time is right but I'll fight tyranny here as long Is I live here.
I have come to realize, and you will too soon enough, that it is bad for the morale of those left behind to talk about leaving; it feels like betrayal (while it isn't, it _feels_ that way to them).
So you'll always draw friendly fire if you mention the obvious act they cannot or will not do. It's human nature and they are reacting emotionally not logically: they know we are at the Alamo here, so defection is particularly alarming to them.
Best to fight on while here and then slip away quietly underneath the enemy's nose when you judge the time right for you. Or never leave and stay and fight from under the yoke of tyranny until your death. Everyone should be free to do either with pride and honor. None of us are the enemy, so let's stop shooting at each other.
