    WTH is up with Bullseye

I just got quoted $150 dollars a gun from them to DROS an oll. WTH! That is just straight up thievery. How can you guys justify this, let alone want Calgunners to continue buying things from your shop with garbage like that?

That's more common than you'd think.

Bullseye sells lowers. They (like every other shop I can think of, even outside of gunstores) would rather you buy their inventory.

Why not just buy direct from Bullseye? They sell OLL now.

I'm not going to make assumptions about their overhead and how much they need to charge to turn a profit.

I will say that I wouldn't pay that much though.

Jusy saw the thread (thanks sorenson). We charge $150 for transfers for non calgunners, $50 for Calgunners. As others have said, it's meant to encourage buying direct from us.

                      Don't forget to mention you're a Calgunner!

It's a long-gun receiver....I don't see how it can be justified at $150/each when they all go on the same DROS.

Secondly I can understand an "internet customer" discount of 10-15%, but 200% markup for the guy that comes in off the street and doesn't contact you through calguns?????

Yeah, but with rifles shops usually just do a big fee for the first one and then a low amount to nothing for 2nd, 3rd etc.

Stilll outrageous to say the least, I've been quoted close to that much at 2 shops though, so don't feel so bad.

Although I support cal guns dealers, It is criminal to mark prices up like that just to get them to buy from you. It gives you a bad rep and bad look. Average Joe walking into your store and getting charged 150 for wanting to have it shipped from a different vendor is gonna make them tell all their friends not to come to you. And if they belong to a forum other than this one, they will surely post it there and possible cost you business. If they want to use you just soley to have you receive it and DROS it, you should do the admirable thing and charge what you would charge in your own shop plus MAYBE 20 or so extra bucks so that you make a little cash off it. Don't con them into buying from you though.
