I decided to build rather than buy a Vector (myVector UZI is a jamomatic). Bought a barreled receiver and guna build with HK parts. Figure it will be the same price in the end for a better gun.

The above is a perfect reason why many folks don't like clones. I also collect original IMI UZI products, and have been horrified at some of the junk I have seen that came from Korea, for example. One even had a barrel nut that appeared to have been welded in place. That alone ruins one aspect of that model, the ability to rapidly disassemble for quick storage, cleaning, etc.
While interesting, the UZI carbines, pistols, mini's, micro's, all have ergonomic issues like the HK's.Comment

As much as I like the HK series of rifles, carbines, and delayed roller locked pistols, from a manufacturing standpoint they are nearly "disposable" weapons. A few others, such as AK's, Liberator pistols, Grease Guns, etc., are in the same manufacturing profile. Yes they work, and are good also as wheel chocks and seaweed rakes, for $2K one could be getting into the range of a nice M1A.Comment

I purchased a Special Weapons mp5 from a Calguns member a week ago, cool little rifle! Put about 100 rounds of factory ammo though it with no problems. As far as I can tell its built really well. I heard alot about the clones having problems, use HK original parts everywhere you can and the problems go away.Comment
