If one is not free to leave, is that not an arrest?

Is this worth your ego being bruised. Open carry in a Mall isn't the smartest thing to do. There's a saying that says something like "JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD..."
If they don't want people carrying in the mall, they should make it clear that they don't want people carrying, but they didn't. Besides, the corollary to your idea is that it isn't the smartest idea in the world to shop in a mall since they force people to be sheep lead to slaughter if SHTF. I even asked the company about it and they said that their guards would do nothing to stop an attack. THAT, my friends, is a joke.

Overall, this isn't about the mall letting me carry or not, this is about dumbass security guards that can barely function as sentient beings trying to redefine the law and impact my civil rights. A simple apology would have sufficed on behalf of the company (in writing, of course) but since the company has decided to back the guards, I am going to raise as much hell as I can about it. I am not the one upping the ante here.
