Ya this....way way way bigger then you need if you can afford it. I got a bigger safe then i needed and its stuffed to the brim with guns, documents and things like that. Cant even fit ammo in it anymore.
Best thing the safe guy told me was to and stack everything you want to put in the safe up just so you get an idea of the size you will need.Comment

The Last American Hero wrote (in the linked thread):
"put a sign on it "BUBBA'S FOOD ONLY, ALL OTHERS SAY THE F OUT"
enough people are anal enough about their food that such a sign shouldn't arouse too much suspicion, and it will explain the rudely installed pad lock. It could also indicate that it is a "multi-household residence" so much higher chance someone will be coming home at any moment. "
His, sounds like great idea. A gun safe will be pried open by the bad guys. A refrigerator jimmied just for beer, not likely !
Also I would take the power cord and cut in two and then tape it back together with plastic electricians tape, the wires not connected together, and plug it into the mains wall socket (just to make it look like a real fridge that is powered up)!
Oh and hang a plaque sign on the wall with cheapest brand name of beer just to discourage them more!
EDIT: 2nd thought, a fake mains metal socket box and plastic cover in the wall, not connected to wires would be safer and you would not have to cut the fridge elec. wire.Last edited by Darto; 05-09-2015, 6:58 AM.Comment

By safe do you mean a TL or TLx6 rated safe or an RSC rated steel container?Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison
The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms. -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87 (Pearce and Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)Comment

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.
