Low blast muzzle brake choice?

I recently bought a muzzle brake for my AR. It works great as a muzzle brake and has ports on the sides that kind of slightly aims back. When I fire my AR at the range, I am sure my neighbors hate it. Even I am annoyed at the wind storm in my own stall. I was wondering if there is one that that still helps with the kick up and not as loud with the blast. I don't mind the increased recoil, just want to reduce the kick up.

I read info on some linear compensators, but not sure if they do anything or the muzzle brakes with a hood or BCM gunfighter mod 0 (seems to aim gas forward) or battle comp, but like some advice before putting out more money. Thanks.

Thanks. Yeah, do those really work in still reducing most of kick? I saw this one utube review on like 35 compensators that showed once the hold was on, it still kept most of the recoil. This one is expensive, trying to spend a little less. I saw some on eBay, but don't know how much those would hold up.

Yes, your neighbors definitely hate it, especially if you're moving so far forward so your muzzle brake clears the partitions because you don't want to deal with the muzzle blast. Your neighbors especially hate it because it's an AR, not like there is much recoil anyway so what's the point ninja?

It's similar to the other one linked, but cheaper. I looked at getting one so I can take off the shroud and give my noisy inconsiderate neighbor a taste of their own medicine and see how funny they think it is when someone does it back too them.

Thanks and lol. Yeah sometimes when ur neighbor is noisy, you have the option of taking the hood off. Lol

True, but it has the shroud that would redirect the games forward. Use the shroud when you want to be nice and take off the shroud when the neighbors get rowdy ; )

I wouldn't even worry about it. It sounds like an effective brake, and I would keep it. The tradeoff is usually that the brakes that help with sound are much more ineffective.

Troy Claymore is an affordable and good looking linear comp for a pistol setup. Will push the blast forward.

thanks, but that doesn't do anything for recoil from people's reviews. I kind of want a little bit of both. Reduce some recoil and not add a lot of blast to my neighbor. I think I am going to tryout the shroud version. I would think the noise is reduced just from the fact of the extra 2", kind of like having a longer barrel.

Its a 223 - try it with no brake.

The better the brake, the more they redirect gas and the louder they are to the shooter.

You can also make your gun heavier to minimize recoil.
