I'm sure our enemies abroad would love to see our military using smart guns . . if they can take the individual soldier out of the fight, his weapon could not be used by anyone else on his squad if needed.

Ha, exactly. It's such a load of baloney. Ban all guns and people will still kill, murder, maim, it has nothing to do with the object, "smart" or not, but it's so much easier to demonize firearms through misinformation to the uneducated sheeple.

Some good stuff there. The problem with trying to debate with antis is when you get them backed into a corner with real statistics and hard facts, they tend to just refuse to acknowledge the validity of you data, and move on with their agenda; at least in my experience. It's kind of like the Darwinism vs Creationism arguments.

It's for the children (and criminals). Imagine what a gangsters paradise this state would become if all law abiding citizens were only allowed "Smart Guns".
I have an issue with the statics they give:

In 2010, 62 children, age 14 or younger, died in gun-related accidents, including 25 under the age of 5, according to the National Safety Council. It's unfortunate but responsible parents would have eliminated much of that.

Additionally, the hope is that smart guns could reduce the toll of murdered police officers, killed when their service revolvers are wrested away from them. (From 2004 to 2013, according to FBI statistics, 33 police officers were murdered with their own weapons.) Again same, but those numbers are not that staggering. I bet if you looked, those 33 deaths in 9 years are far outnumbered by LEOs being killed by DUI drivers! Alcohol is a far greater threat, but that's a whole different story.

            Yep, good stuff indeed.

The True Anti Gun Zealots can never be reasoned with, their
cognitive dissonance won't allow it... of course, we can still try though

The ones in the middle that have been lied to and manipulated with
biased "research" from the mass media.... those can often be reasoned
with... they Don't Know that they have been lied to.

            Recent article for you:

How To Win A Debate With An Anti-Gunner
by Frank Miniter - Wednesday, April 15, 2015
Crushing anti-gunners with logic might feel good, but doesn't win hearts and minds. If gun owners want to win the debate, they have to change their tactics.

Criminals with guns is the issue.....

              but we all know that
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

How about California's LEOs to start with? Let them carry them around the capital for awhile and see how that goes. Oh, and throw in micro stamps!

What about an EMP? You could take out a whole army's sidearms in one stroke.
