    Marrage Proposal Idea

Hey guys. I came up with an idea on how i wanted to propose to my girlfriend but i'm stumped with the design. My intention is to set up four IPSC Steel sillouettes (18" x 24") a couple yards apart from each other. I wanted her to stand behind me with a shot timer while I move off line of attack from the targets with each each of them rotating in spinning motion after a cadence of 4 or 5 shots per target. On the back of the targets I wanted to stencil spray paint obviously "Will you marry me". I'm not sure how though i would make the targets swivel and lock in place without over rotating. Does anyone feel what I'm saying here? Advice would be appreicated.

    Thanks!

Remember the wedding and proposal stuff is all about them

Do what she likes and ask that way. If she's not a shooter idk if that's how I would go. Sounds cute and stuff cause I'm a gun guy and my gf is a gun girl. But base it off her interests not yours.

She doesn't have any hobbies thats the thing lol. Her family are all shooters and hunters but she didn't take the cake for whatever reason. She likes to shoot with me when we go out, but its not like her hobby yah know? She loves country concerts but long before she was with me, her ex proposed to her at a country concert but that didn't fall through lol, so when she asked me when i was going to propose to her, she said make sure its not at a country concert lol so thats a no go cause i already thought about the idea before she brought it up

Can't you just ask her? The relationships you share down the road with everyone involved count. I'd do something a lot more romantic. All that stuff matters more to women than you think, even if she's a shooter. This could be forever if done correctly. Go to that restaurant you two have talked about. Go on an incredible hike & act like you just found a ring & ask her. Take a coastal drive & stop at a nice little romantic spot, maybe a bed & breakfast. Make it special, put some planning & thought into it.

Be careful, she might be expecting a MARRIAGE proposal, and be really pissed to find out is is actually a marrage, whatever that is.

As long as the marriage is not a mirage I think he'll be just fine.

I actually just proposed to my girlfriend last Saturday. Went to the place where we had our first kiss. Sentiment goes a long way, and may be easier than building a rig, but I'm also a sucker for innovation. OP is ultimately the one to choose what feels right in his heart. He just better not miss the target and leave a blank (Will you ____me?).

If shooting is not her hobby, then maybe you should explore other ideas. Maybe find something she enjoys or something associated with the early days of your relationship when it was a budding romance. If it were me, I'd find something that has some meaning attached to it or historical significance for the two of you. In my case, it was where we went on our first date. Best of luck to you and your gf.

If she's not a dedicated shooter, don't do that.

Think of a place and circumstance such that when she tells her friends about where you proposed, they all go "Awwwwww".

Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.
