Had all the Dillon's. Square deal, Sl900, 550, 650.
Have the 650. Never any issues with primer feed.
Best customer service bar none.TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Barnwood Arms. Ripon.
I bought my xl650 there. They also carry the bells and whistles for it.
You can get it online cheaper but I prefer to support local businesses.

The Brian Enos "As it should be" package is the way to go. Roller handle, strong mount, bullet tray, and empty case bin/bracket.

The auto filler is a god send. Save the money of half a dozen primer tubes of each type, put it towards one auto filler, and the conversion if you shoot both sizes of primer.Either buy a bunch of primer pickup tubes or break down and buy the auto-filler. Loading primer tubes manually is tedious as all hell but keeping the primer system fed is the biggest drag on your production rate. Before I bought the auto filler, I would spend the evening before reloading night flipping primers and filling tubes. That way I could focus on reloading the next night and not have to muck about with primers.Attached FilesOriginally posted by kcbrownI'm most famous for my positive mental attitude.

My choice was a Dillon RL550B. It may not be the "fastest", but I've been able to get a bit over 400 an hour with it by being organized and having everything at hand on my bench."Mr. Rat, I have a writ here that says you are to stop eating Chen Lee's cornmeal forthwith. Now, It's a rat writ, writ for a rat, and this is lawful service of same!"Comment

I've got a Square Deal for pistol rounds and a 550 for rifle. One big diff between 550 and 650 is the 550 is manual advance. Not an issue to me. Both work very well. My neighbor has two edit SDBs that he just leaves setup for him main calibers so no changeovers. He just got a 650 for his rifle rounds and loves it. I plum ran out of brass and need to go shooting and make some empty ones to get busy again.Last edited by Grampz; 04-10-2015, 3:24 AM.They say nothing is impossible. Well heck! Ha! My dad used to have me do that when I was a little kid. I was a very serious, meticulous little boy and I LOVED helping my dad. Lots of good memories for me of sitting on the floor loading primer tubes, etc while he talked and taught me everything I wanted to know about the world. Even more precious now that he's gone.Changes on the 650 are a piece of cake.
Get the Dillon XL650

As soon as I buy a house, I'm gonna set up his old Dillon, Rcbs, and Lee stuff, and get back on it. I'll probably have to go through it pretty well since it hasn't been used since about 1990! New belt for the Rock Chucker, etc. Maybe fresh springs.
One thing I can say for Dillon is that their customer service is LEGENDARY."Show me a hero and I'll write you a tragedy."
