    gun eduction

does anyone know what it takes to have something along the lines of a million mom march deal but giving the truth rather then lies and so on?
i was laying in bed rather pissed about what obama might end up doing and then MMM for being uneducated on the gun issues and so on, and was thinking why doesn’t anyone just have free or low cost (to cover renting fees and so on) lectures and so on about the truth on weapons and "assault" rifles. and so on?

is it hard to do? i mean i was also thinking of unloaded visual aids need a license to bring those in and so on? i would do this myself but i have no idea where to start. and what i need and so on. i mean think a 30 year old fox news mom would believe a 20 something year old man who claims( but actually dose know allot about guns) to know about guns and so on? No, so just wondering what others thought and if there has been anything like this or at least attempts on this sort of thing

i am so tired of *****ing about how people don’t know and no one actually actively trying to educate them and actively do something about it rather then ***** and give money to the NRA which has a bad rep in the eyes of who we are trying to show guns aren’t evil just the criminals that use them are.

any advice, help, info, and so on would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. sorry about the misspelling of education in the title kind of funny really. Seeing as im speaking of education…. Anyways thanks for reading.

We owe the majority of the bad publicity to most of the bad *** movies where they see the bad guys class 3 guns shooting up the towns and killing women and children. Best thing to do is to try to educate as many people as you come in contact in a daily basis with.

but a few people i run into is hardly the new base of voters and or new gun owners we need to reach in the long run of things. even if i only reach 20 soccer moms not totaly buying into the MMM thats more then i'd get just going about my life as is. plus thos 20 soccer moms gossip to arew of there friends then i got 40 new people geting the right information. if i had seasoned gun owners then we'ed be further in business. am i the only one who thinks this is a good idea?

and i know about the movies thats why we need somthing that dosnt just cater to the gun owning minority. we know this already way not spread it around?

It is going to be hard to try and educate the population on guns. I have resorted on educating as many people as I come in contact with. I always open up the gun conversation with just about every person that I meet and end up educating them. I have referred many people to this site. However, some people are just plain ignorant/stupid and will not change their negative views on guns.

but this thing would bring solely thoes who want to know more. i agree your efforts are needed and worth the time, but ithink this would just help more you have people coming for this sole reason. for a far amount of time. to sit discuss and ask about the issues. i think it would help allot of misconceptions fade in allot of minds.

haha no kidding, but again only will effect the few LEO i come into contact with and a few people open enough to ask the crazy man with the gun questions about it.

It will help by giving them more money for education and outreach campaigns, or at the very least more money for commercials and hit pieces against anti-gun candidates.

im just trying to think out side the box. the new sales show people are interested and some are going to be hesitant and if we reach them just more fresh owners to help. denying things like this is why the same old isn’t working. i mean we have to have a anti gun president elect to drive people to buy out of fear? COME ON don't tell me that is the only answer.
The NRA has done more than just "sit on issues," and have been invaluable in the fight to restore and protect our 2nd Amendment rights in California and nationwide. Not everything takes place in the public eye.

I'd respond in greater detail, but can only get the basic gist of what you said because I'm having a hard time following what you wrote, sorry.
