I do not see Polytech on the list of weapons banned by name. Maybe I am missing something.sigpic

YUM - Double folders, side folders, oh Lordy - why o why was I spending money on women's, instead of Chinese AK's? !
Funny, I actually use to see those poly M1A's, and thought - who would want a Chinese M1A..
Could have had them for around 5-600.
I use to live when things were Good in ca. I picked up some nice stuff, considering how young I was.
I miss all those Good times.Vida Loca Homes

Ahem, I sure you meant to say they were banned from importation into the USA in 1989 by the Bush Administration.

Federal import ban in the wake of the Tiananmen Square massacre.Originally posted by cockedandglockedGetting called a DOJ shill has become a rite of passage around here. I've certainly been called that more than once - I've even seen Kes get called that. I haven't seen Red-O get called that yet, which is very suspicious to me, and means he's probably a DOJ shill.Comment

Wow, those suggested retail prices were much higher than the actual price you paid back in the 80s. I remember the Poly versions were around $250 at the two B&B locations and the Norincos were around $140. The IMI UZIs were $450. The Polys going for $3000 now? May as well be select fire for that amount.Comment

The milled versions were not that low based on info from a family friend. He recalls that the poly techs were the most expensive ak variants available at the time and they didn't sell too well due to the higher price. His national match was around $800.Wow, those suggested retail prices were much higher than the actual price you paid back in the 80s. I think it was a Presidential order, so the President can unban them too. Funny, we have had Republican Presidents since the Chinese AK/ammo import ban who claim to support the Second Amendment. Both political parties play the gun owners and the NRA as fools. PatheticComment

Funny how that works!

I bought my m14s from ades in 2007 for $850 on consignment. It was brand new still in the box with all the accessories. I eventually got rid of the box but I don't plan on ever selling it"You see in this world theres two kinds of people my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig...
