The closest I get to a Ruger is my 10 round magazines. Every time I look at them, I am reminded at who came up with that brilliant idea.

Over the years I've owned 3 mini 14s, a 10/22, a Mk1 and Mk2 .22 pistols, 2 Old Army revolvers and a Blackhawk in .45 LC. Currently I have a SSM .32HR, Blackhawk convertible .45 acp/.45 colt, Super blackhawk .44 mag, and an Old Army. Wish I had kept the first Mini 14, it was first year of production when they were going mostly to law enforcement plus it had 6 factory 20 rd magazines! Of course that was 30 or so years ago....

Bill Ruger and his stupid ideas are dead and gone. There is a new Ruger now.

Bill Ruger did not like 10 rounders...but better 10 than 6 IMHO...limiting semi-auto handguns to 6 rounds (like revolvers), and rifles to just 5 rounds was proposed for the federal AWB at that time...if you are old enough to remember back then...stormy dark days indeed...
