I don't care how much ammo people buy I just want thru to know it's not a 5.56 ban it's a steel core ban. Because it seems people don't know they are buying it all no matter.

I will usually buy a couple of boxes a week at my local LGS or Walmart if pricing is good. For example, 4 boxes a month of ZQI 7.62x51 will add up to almost a case by the end of the year. I don't make special trips either. Usually when I buy dog food or something else. I do buy .223/.556 when I see it online for around $6 a box. I just picked up 300 rounds of 5.56 Independence for about $6.20 per box before shipping. That beats my LGS by $3 per box locally. Just buy here and there and the PANICS are jst a hiccup if you are prepared.Calguns Contributor

By the stated logic of the ATF and this administration and the rest of their liberal cronies YES it could be justified to ban most any or all types of rifle ammo. As to whether or not to buy ammo of any other kind I don't think it would be a bad idea to stock up with not only ammo but components to reload ammo. Go ahead and laugh all ya want but whats to stop them from taking your California legal all copper ammo under the exact same basis? or a fmj slug of any kind.Comment

I've been to a couple of WM in recent weeks as the shelf's are completely filled. Except for only a few boxes of 22. It's all available just not the prices as 2 yards ago, 5 years ago and 20 20 years ago. Inflation ?sigpicComment

I'm not suggesting any course of action, just trying explain why more than just M855 ammo is flying off the shelves.
As a side note, when this all started, I checked my stash to see if I owned any of the "evil" stuff. Turns out, I had a case of M855 tucked away in the back of the pile. Should I flip it now, wait for market demand to push the price up higher or hang on to it?
WWOD? (what would OHOD do?)

FLIP for sure! I would, if someone wants that ammo and is willing to pay why not.I'm not suggesting any course of action, just trying explain why more than just M855 ammo is flying off the shelves.
