    Angie,

I got one of these when they first hit the market about 6 or 7 years ago. I paid $35 for it and it was a great investment, even at that price. I don't like most of the different mag loading tools on the market but, THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT! It really is the greatest thing since sliced bread!

Mine works great. Adjustment of the mag height screw is important and you may have to tweak the pressure on the detent spring a little.

The rounds don't all "fall" into the magazine for me at once, I have to push the magazine up and down slightly and every time I do usually 2-3 rounds fall into the mag. Every now and then when I'm finished one round falls out of the loader onto the bench but that's not a huge deal.

Either way, it loads a full magazine for me in ~5 seconds and doesn't wear my thumbs out-- a great little tool.

A couple other guys went in with me to buy six Ultimate Cliploaders and get the cut-rate bargain price of a little over $20 a piece. (Even have one remaining.) I like my amber-colored one. And now that's it adjusted correctly (thanks for the tip!), no single round is laying flat inside the magazine and causing a jam. Yippee!

And yeppers. Gotta keep the cliploader level to feed it.

They are awesome, took a little fine tuning to make it load a full mag without dropping rounds on the ground. You have to oil it once in a while too.

i finally got one of these and wow it is great

once i got the screw adjusted right it loads all 10 and doesnt drop a loose one on the ground

i cant get it to fill slick like the youtubes a couple pulses has it full in about 5 seconds though

i love how the cover is captured in the device unlike the butler creek loader that can fall out

You can get a great price on them if you buy in bulk from the maker. I had thought about a group buy on them to get the price break, but then realized my kids would go through my ammo faster and dropped the idea.

I have used a bent piece of sheetmetal with a hole drilled in the middle. I made it about 20 years ago for my MKII. Cost me about a nickel and ten minutes of my time. Takes me about 20 seconds to load a mag. I'd rather spend my $30.00 on a couple bulk packs of ammo!

It's a little fussy, you have to hold it at the right angle. There is a line labeled 'Level' stamped on it and that helps. You have to adjust the screw, keep it full, kind of bounce and tap on the bench and Zip! in they go. It's great, but don't expect it to work until you have learned how to run it.

It's a lot easier than learning to play the clarinet.
