    A scam on Armslist

I came across a scam on armslist. What should I do? How can we stop this guy before he rips someone off?

A scam on armslist? You don't say?

Let us know when there's something on armslist that isn't a scam(obvious LEO stings don't count either), since that would be noteworthy.

A guy has a a brand new 3 digit Colt .38 Super for sale for $2,350. Being 3 digit would make it amongst the first 1000 commercially available Colt .38 Supers. It's worth a hell of a lot more than that. Post says ship if need be. When I contacted him he says ship only even though he's supposedly here in CA.

I might want to grab it before anyone else does. Could be a good scam.

Yeah, there's probably at least 3 versions of that ad up on sites at any given time, with different locations, using the same stolen pictures. Heck, there's even at least 1 other thread about it.

                You even posted in it

How many more months is it gonna be before you let us know about something you already knew about again

It'll get posted again, and again.

I wouldn't be surprised if half the listings on armslist were scams.

If you right-click on the photo in the ad and select "Search Google for this image" you will see several references to this gun for sale including a thread on CalGuns back in January.
