In fact, in regards to NFA... BATFE recommends you store your items in a safety deposit box within the LEGAL state.
I have seen banks that state no firearms or cash in safety deposit boxes. FWIW.

      Worked great for Walter White.

All the magazines you could want could easily be put in a plain moving box and would not look tempting to thieves. Likewise, an AR-15 lower in a gym bag wouldn't attract attention. As long as you were careful to be innocuous when putting items in and out of the storage unit, nobody would be the wiser. Who would break into a storage unit for boxes of old household goods and gym clothes?
Any thief. They steal what they can. Only in the movies are the Robert DeNiro's that only rob millions from banks. Not a soul on earth knew what was in my storage unit when it got robbed.

It's just not that high risk. An assembled AR-15 lower is about $200 to $250, add in a dozen magazines at $10 each and you're still under $400.

If you are worried about losing a lower, you could build a featureless lower (fixed stock and monster man grip) and install a pistol grip in NV. That doesn't help you with the magazines though.
Check back later for a witty comment.

it would be smart if gun stores in NV would buy some gym lockers, and rent them out for storing guns.
