Are you looking to protect the cans or whats inside the cans? Are you seriously thinking of putting a dehumidifier in each can?

I think you are WAY overthinking this.

With that many, you'd want a reminder for a schedule to cycle drying them out so you aren't trying to dry them all out in one sitting.

For safes or cabinets, I run a goldenrod and a renewable dehumidifier like this one and I am currently shopping for hygrometers to monitor how well those measures are working.

I also just ordered one of these to dehumidify the room where my guns and ammo are stored:

For 50 ammo boxes, you would probably be better off getting an area dehumidifier like the one above for the room they are stored in rather than trying do each can separately.

          Ammocan's are air tight.

Another Idea: Buy a Home Depot job box and store all of your ammo in it. Seal it up with some silicone if needed. Use some weather stripping around the lid if needed. Run a golden rod in there.

I like the idea of ammo cans too but at the point that you've got 50 of them, I'm thinking a central ammo locker of some sort becomes more efficient.
