Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

I had bad allergies the other day and some masked lady at the grocery store asked if I had Covid-19. I told her no, but that the doctor told me I have the bird flu. She must not like birds. We know they are lying, they know they are lying, they know we know they are lying, we know they know we know they are lying, but they are still lying. ~ SolzhenitsynComment

Last year, according to the California Department of Public Health... What to Do If You Test Positive for COVID-19
Remember, at one time, they were talking about mandatory 'passports' and 'isolation.' The idea was to 'stem the spread' in terms of the pandemic. Even in 2024... A Worker May Be Sick or Exposed to COVID-19...
So, there are still open questions as to whether one must report having it or possibly having it.
I was merely making sardonic comparison to California's hypocritical approach on this matter with COVID, to the passing of SB-239 by Brown, which nearly lets someone off scott-free for knowingly exposing a sexual partner to HIV without disclosure.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?Comment

There is some truth to that. Someone who has never experienced the common cold or flu could have some very bad reaction to getting it for the first time. Conversely, someone who has been exposed to all sorts of cold and flu over his life time could fight that off without any kind of debilitating physical problems.Comment

Even the NCI-affiliated cancer center (filled with immuno-weakened and compromised people) a family member goes to has dropped mandatory masking. Can't fix stupid?iTrader under old CalGunsComment

I can't say if you need to, but you certainly should if you came into contact with people for a period of time (e.g., party, driving in a car). Our employer still has a reporting form which you fill out so they can notify anyone else you work with or were in contact with.
Last week I was at a 3-day workshop/conference and one of my colleagues who attended came back sick and informed colleagues who attended as well as others from other institutions who attended, because that's the courteous thing to do.
I would do the same thing if I had the flu or another highly contagious illness.
Whether or not you thing COVID is worse or the same as the flu, being courteous to others is something you can't argue against.

I appreciate when people tell me they are sick, they don't mention it being Covid but sick is still sick.
Some morons seem to brag about being sick with Covid though...I stay far away from those weirdos."I kill things for a living, don't make yourself one of them"Comment
