Do you still need to tell people if you have COVID?

Do you still need to tell people if you have COVID?

Supposed experts say it has to do with knowing more now, people having immunity through vaccines or prior infections, contact tracing is harder, and 'COVID fatigue' has settled in.

The 'knowing more' has to do with treatments and the pathogen becoming less virulent.

I thought the so-called 'vaccines' didn't impart immunity, but initiated an 'immune response?' Yet, they still won't use the phrase... natural immunity.

Now that we're 'mixing freely,' not everyone we've interacted with can be contacted; which, I believe, was part of the point behind 'free association.'

'COVID fatigue' is almost presented as synonymous with 'dropped in priority' relative to other diseases? Oh. What 'other diseases?'

    Still...

    • Pregnant people or parents of newborns
    • The elderly
    • The immunocompromised
    • People with underlying health conditions such as diabetes or heart disease
    • Health care workers
    • Nursing home employees...
Of course, at the end of the piece, it recommended that, if you're still contagious, you should stay home; but, if you have to go out, wear a mask.

Uh... Didn't we go through a whole series of lockdowns due to possible contagiousness and disease spread; not to mention determining that masks didn't actually deter spread?

What a difference a year or two makes.

If your employer is still buying into that garbage, is it wrong to advise them if you catch it? Paid holiday and all?

I ask you, what's worse, admitting that you had Covid or that you voted for Biden?

        I know silly question.

Biden says he's still meeting with Netaynahu at the White House Tuesday afternoon

Many aren't as terrified as in 2020/2021

Are employers still giving out freebie covid sick days?
As an employee, I would like it if people DID NOT announce if/when they have or think they have covid.
Announcing a covid case affects others in the work place, sometimes employers will have close contacts stay home.

If you are sick, stay home, what is so difficult about that?

I never got tested for covid, so I never knew (or cared) if I had it or not. I never wore a mask, didn't stay home, lived life normally whether I had the sniffles or not and went outside where I pleased, even when I was sick, just like I have for my entire life.

Thankfully there is no more Covid Supplemental sick leave any more. What a freaking abortion that was. Forcing businesses to pay any employee for 2 weeks vacation (err...sick leave) if they "tested positive"?

Well, given that it was mandatory for long-term care workers to get vaccinated and since he said, immediately preceding the portion you snipped... "Work in a facility full of elderly folks whom I care a lot about." - I'd say that was a good 'guess.'

Long-term care facilities are still treating the so-called 'vaccines' and boosters as a matter of course for residents from what I understand and are 'taken aback' if it is refused.

Whatever for? If you don't have to tell people with whom you are going to have sex, or have had sex with, that you are HIV positive in California, when you know for certain you are, why would you ever need to tell someone you are COVID afflicted even if you're coughing in their face?

Last year, according to the California Department of Public Health... What to Do If You Test Positive for COVID-19

...Letting people you may have exposed to COVID-19 know that you have tested positive allows them to get tested, wear a mask to protect others, and seek treatment early if they become sick.

Your workplace, school, or place of residence may have policies for reporting when you were on-site while likely infectious. Please refer to the guidelines of your employer, school, facility, or local health department on reporting positive testing.

Your close contacts are the people you were near or in a room with when you were likely infectious, for long enough that you may have exposed them to COVID-19. The time you are considered infectious is from 2 days before your symptoms started (or 2 days before you took your positive test if you never had symptoms) through the day when you ended isolation.

Quickly letting your contacts know they may have been exposed to COVID-19 helps them get tested, wear a mask, and find out if they are infected in time to get treatment, while taking steps to protect their family members, coworkers, and others from the virus.

You can inform your contacts by calling, texting, or emailing them, or you can notify them anonymously through the Tell Your Contacts website. They can visit the CDPH COVID-19 Calculator to learn more about what actions they should take to protect themselves and others...
Remember, at one time, they were talking about mandatory 'passports' and 'isolation.' The idea was to 'stem the spread' in terms of the pandemic. Even in 2024... A Worker May Be Sick or Exposed to COVID-19...

...Employers must record work-related COVID-19 cases in their injury and illnesses logs. You must report information about COVID-19 cases and outbreaks at the workplace to the local health department whenever required by law. You must also notify Cal/OSHA right away when there is a serious illness or fatality related to COVID-19. Read Cal/OSHA's FAQs on recording and reporting COVID-19 cases.
So, there are still open questions as to whether one must report having it or possibly having it.

                              ?
