Early Signs Of Rising COVID In California As New FLiRT Subvariants Dominate

Early signs of rising COVID in California as new FLiRT subvariants dominate

California may be headed to an earlier-than-normal start to the summer COVID-19 season, with coronavirus concentrations in sewage rising in some areas along with the statewide positive-test rate.

The trend comes as the latest family of coronavirus subvariants, collectively nicknamed FLiRT, have made significant gains nationally.

The FLiRT subvariantsdied of COVID, according to the CDC, including more than 3,400 in California. By contrast, flu has probably resulted
Uh... Wait... Am I supposed to panic? With those kinds of number...??? Just because the flu PROBABLY resulted in fewer deaths than COVID?

Oh... I see. They have a 'new' so-called 'vaccine' they're pushing. We're saved... so long as we don't get it... right?

Ignorance is bliss ... on my side I don't give a rats behind about anything Covid or mask related ... and the Covid freaks cause they seem to be entirely unhinged from real science ,history and reality

The problem is that I know several individuals in care homes who will be... 'pressured' or 'tricked'... into getting the 'new' vaccine so that the home(s) can check a box and claim they've done their due diligence.

I said it early on... I was waiting to see if they actually came out with a true vaccine or if it would become like the flu shots, especially as it is a close relative of the viruses which cause the flue. I guess we have our answer...

The problem is that they just keep plowing ahead... Thousands Believe Covid Vaccines Harmed Them. Is Anyone Listening?

deemed eligible for compensation, and only 12 have been paid out, at an average of about $3,600side effects.

Two are associated with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which is no longer available in the United States: , a known side effect of other vaccines, including the flu shot; and a blood-clotting disorder.

The C.D.C. also links mRNA vaccines made by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna to heart inflammation, or myocarditis, especially in boys and young men. And the agency warns of anaphylaxis, or severe allergic reaction, which can occur after any vaccination...

An expert panel convened by the National Academies concluded in April that for the vast majority of side effects, there was not enough data to accept or reject a link...

Among the hundreds of millions of Americans who were immunized for Covid, some number would have had heart attacks or strokes anyway. Some women would have miscarried. How to distinguish those caused by the vaccine from those that are coincidences? The only way to resolve the question is intense researchno longer outweighEuropean countries
Which is why such 'thorough testing' was always supposed be done BEFORE release to the general public, even though it sometimes took years. Yet... Progress Deferred: Lessons From mRNA Vaccine Development...

...Operation Warp Speed and similar programs launched by governments globally accelerated the development of mRNA vaccines in two ways. First, upfront commitments to purchase the vaccine and research grants helped underwrite a major expansion in manufacturing capacity. This was particularly critical in the case of startups like Moderna, which lacked the infrastructure to produce its vaccines at massive scale. This funding also helped to accelerate technological progress. Requiring rapid delivery of large numbers of shots of the vaccine necessitated the resolution of the numerous practical challenges in transitioning mRNA research into a practical reality, from managing cooling to ensuring quality control.

Second, Operation Warp Speed allowed the usual clinical trials to be combined and run in parallel. Importantly, it also allowed companies to manufacture vaccine candidates in advance of them being proven to be safe and effective in clinical trials. This cut down on the usual bottlenecks slowing the approval and deployment of vaccines. The unusually accelerated process also helped quickly reduce lingering uncertainty about the viability of different potential solutions to addressing the pandemic. mRNA vaccines, which had been considered an untested and speculative option to combat the pandemic, were identified as the most promising approach in a matter of months...

One indication of the strength of this skepticism is the degree to which industry experts considered mRNA vaccines a dead end even at the height of the pandemic. Economists preparing recommendations to the White House on allocating funds towards different COVID-19 vaccine methodologies received feedback from some corners that investment plans positing a possible role for mRNA were fanciful.

This view was not shared by all: a minority of researchers continued to push forwards on mRNA technologies throughout the 2000s and 2010s. However, the widespread negative perception of mRNA vaccines likely played a role in slowing progress. Science funders allocated less than they would have, had the true viability of mRNA vaccines been known. Similarly, the research community as a whole did not prioritize exploring and resolving hurdles to the practical development of mRNA vaccines. Companies like Moderna and BioNTech may ultimately have perfected mRNA vaccines and brought them to market, but their relatively fragile financial state on the eve of 2020 suggests that the technology would have taken many more years to become a reality in the absence of a global pandemic...

These market forces against investment in vaccines are significant. During the early stages of the pandemic, some established pharmaceutical companies were hesitant to invest in vaccine development around COVID-19. Merck ultimately decided against prioritizing a COVID-19 vaccine in part because an earlier, expensive effort around Ebola had won vaccine approval only after the 2014 outbreak had faded. Executives felt that COVID-19 might similarly disappear, making it unwise to shift researchers and financial resources to the problem. Even Moderna and BioNTech did not launch at the outset with the goal of manufacturing vaccines. They initially focused on using mRNA as a method for developing a wide range of therapeutics.

In short, the specific skepticism inhibiting mRNA vaccine development was compounded by broader market forces that disincentivize investment in vaccines generally. Even in a scenario in which researchers and funders had seen mRNA vaccines more favorably, it is likely that the number of companies focused on bringing the technology to market would have remained limited. If a broad research area is perceived as unprofitable, paradigm-changing research may never be commercialized...

?As I've said, my personal theory is that it was all part of the search for an 'universal vaccine;' i.e., one which could be quickly adapted to each new 'crisis.' To my eye, that appears to be what the industry believed mRNA technology would provide, but too many 'traditional barriers' got in the way. Now, they are moving forward with it, despite the left-handed 'acknowledgement' that continued R&D is still necessary.

As we've talked about, too much smoke and mirrors where what is being pushed out there is reliant upon the very things they still criticize and chastise for with regard to 'home remedies' and 'homeopathic treatments.'

I hope all Biden voters to get vaxxed with the Biden vaccine as often as possible.

I seem to recall that BEFORE covid mrna vaccines had been experimented with and used on animals, UNSUCCESSFULLY.

had it, not a big deal, it was kind of like having some allergy problems with the runny nose and stuff in the throat, took about a week to go away.

COVID-19 vaccines should get a fall update, panel concludes

supply JN.1 vaccinesa preprintvaccine uptake: Just 22% of adults in the U.S. got a COVID-19 vaccine, compared with 48% who rolled up their sleeves for a flu shot.?

The sluggish numbers may also reflect confusion about who needs an annual COVID-19 shot. Last year, U.S regulators recommended a fall dose for nearly everybody. But many countries in Europe now restrict annual doses to older people, health care workers, and those with risk factors such as a suppressed immune system, in part because of uncertainty about whether the benefits of a yearly shot for all outweigh any risk of side effects...

I actually see a slightly more sinister approach, and not just tin foil hat stuff.

The mRNA vaccine research was stopped long ago as a sort of side story to the regular vaccines, and since they were more available, less research went into it. My personal belief is that you always have to follow the money and once the problem (the pandemic) was formally labelled as such, lotsa good green was funneled into it. But anytime you funnel money into a solution for a huge issue, results are expected and as you point out, there were too many red tape things in the way...plus, the military doesn't care about anything, so it became a great way to get it into the system in a hurry and with an emergency order, everything was bypassed...ie human trials. We became the human trials.

Again...follow the money. There were tons of reported adverse reactions, but many were ignored, and since money came in to help with care, there was a huge incentive to "misreport" any ER visit as a COVID injury/death.

So...money. For a year, everyone had to get tested all the time. My work required me to test every week for nearly a year. Lotsa money in those little test kits, that BTW, still are around.

The administration can't possibly afford to backtrack now and call it a "flu virus" because they'd have enough egg on their face to make a breath taking omelet. They can't support home remedies, because that will make everyone right and them wrong, and it will stop the money from flowing. I have my own method for dealing with a COVID infection (I've had it twice) and it costs me about $5 for the OJ, 2 showers, Ibuprofen and 1 day's worth of bedrest. It's worked EVERY TIME I've ever gotten the flu and both times I caught COVID.
