According to the CDC...
When I was younger, it was every 5 years. Then, according to my doctor, a booster was unnecessary, even with a wound, unless there was a clear indication of possibly 'dirty' contaminants in the wound and even then......Also, adults should receive a booster dose of either Tdap or Td (a different vaccine that protects against tetanus and diphtheria but not pertussis) every 10 years, or after 5 years in the case of a severe or dirty wound or burn...
Let's just say that I had a tetanus booster in 1998 when flash flooding hit parts of Texas. My next booster came back in February of this year when I sliced up my hand. Both times, it wasn't necessarily viewed as 'essential' by the doctors, but was seen as 'probably a good idea' given the situation and the wounds.Comment

Edit to OP:
It wasn’t BAS, rather BSA. There is no Boy Scouts Of America. They now have 16-17 year old girls running around camp I’m bikinis with the boys… What cooldown possibly go wrong?
Perhaps we need a new maternity merit badge.Comment
