I was forced into it, BAS requirement to be an adult volunteer for summer camp and I?m really feeling it today. My arm is sore AF but at least I won?t get lockjaw if I step on a rusty nail.

I got the same vaccine at my doctor?s advice before I went to Sudan in 2019.

Did they want you to get a Tetanus shot because they're afraid you might sue them if you do step on a rusty nail or whatever?

Otherwise why would they care ?

How do you know it was ONLY tetanus?

Usually comes as a package deal along with whooping cough and diphtheria in the combined DPT shot. YMMV

i had a car accident 15 years (?) ago and i was asked when was the last time i had a shot. i told the doctor or was it a nurse that "i could not remember." i don't know what it's got to do with my accident.

Tetanus is just out there. Everywhere. The only thing a nail(rusty or not) has to do with it is making a hole.

I've never had a tetanus shot (that I can remember)...

I've had cuts, punctures, etc... been lucky I guess - or maybe the 'concern' isn't as hypersensitive as some make it?

How do you know it was ONLY tetanus?

I’ve had the same GP for over 23 years. He has NEVER asked or suggested I get the clot shot. Somehow it came up that visit, we were discussing the 2 times I had WuFlu and sort of off the cuff asked when I was vaccinated. I just looked at him and he asked again. I just grinned. He got this **** eating grin on his face and asked: You never got it? I just smiled.

Anyways he was very late to the wearing a mask game and once he did comply, it was always under his nose.


About a year ago I was in and he mentioned he was feeling sick. I sarcastically stated: “you are going to kill us all!!!!” He just chuckled and shook his head ”not everything is COVID”

Not exactly sure why they require it but it is the only one they require.
