CA Doctors threatened for COVID-19 views gear up for possible SCOTUS fight

    More good news:

A team of California doctors say they would be willing to "take it all the way to the top" in their legal fight against Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom over a state COVID-19 misinformation law that would punish doctors who disseminate coronavirus information deemed out of line with the "scientific consensus."

AB2098 was just blocked for now.

Shubb, an appointee of former President George H.W. Bush, also wrote that the law's definition of what classifies as "misinformation" is "grammatically incoherent" and thus unconstitutionally vague. He had signaled he would grant the doctors' request at a Monday hearing, in which he told California's lawyers that their definition of "misinformation" was "nonsense."

The ruling was not a final judgment on the constitutionality of the law but rather a temporary halt against enforcement while litigation continues. California can appeal to have the injunction lifted.

            Very good question,

I've been paying medical out of pocket rather than comply since obigears care went in.

Here in Aug. I will go Medicare + a supplement plan and would really like that list of names to choose a doctor from if anyone runs across it.

And people wonder why they want a single payer healthcare.

Doctor not following governor mandates, they won't 'restrict' their speech they just won't have any patients because they won't be in the available network.
