    Masks and Doctors' Offices

Any idea when this nonsense is going to end? They even announced end of face diapers on all public transportation. It has been a long time and it wouldn't be a bad idea to go to the doctor's.

I dunno, it's really stupid though. Doctors should know it's bs better than anyone else.

I think a lot of it has to do with them losing their medical license or some other crazy libtard government thing that will happen to them if someone freaks out and reports them for not wearing a mask.

Since to the doctor is where sick people go, doesn't bother me to see others or wear a mask. What's the big deal? Takes 2 seconds to don or doff- who cares...

I don't care if other people wear them, but I don't want to be forced to wear one. Also, before 2020, I never saw anyone wear a mask to the doctors office, or store, or anywhere.

Arizona just passed a law recently that takes effect tomorrow that makes requiring a mask a violation but they didn’t mention if hospitals are exempt.

And that's fine- you do you. I just don't see the point of getting worked up over who's wearing, or not, a mask- not even a little. If wearing one gives someone comfort who's truly worried- sure, my gift to them. Da**** do I care?

Had to go see my dentist yesterday. Walked in no mask. The green haired receptionist handed me a package with a mask in it and said I had to wear it at all times. Dentist asked me to remove mask as soon as she came into the exam room. I never put it back on.

They referred me to an orthodontist for an immediate appointment. Go to ortho's office. Big sign on door "MASK REQUIRED." Inside, purple haired receptionist handed me a package with a mask in it. Ortho came in, opened the door and escorted me to exam room before I could put the mask on. 30 minutes later I pay the bill, hand back the unopened mask and leave.

It's STUPID to require a dental patient to wear a mask. All I can say is that at both places the receptionist is obviously a progressive hysteric who is living in fear of a pandemic which died out a year ago and the boss doesn't want the hassle of listening to her whine or claim work comp/hostile work environment.

Oh, and the diagnosis? I have to have my left upper front tooth capped. It's got a surface crack straight down the face. No other issue, just that the tooth needs capped so it doesn't fracture.

My right one needs it too for the same reason. Oh well, it's only money...

Not only that, but physical therapy is considered medical. So I literally am required to still wear a face diaper while exercising.

Correct.....I will be wearing a mask to my PT appt next week as will my PT. It's not big deal though. I still have a unopened pack of N95 masks. My PT is a solo probationer......in business for herself. She specializes in manual (hands on PT) and her appts last 55 min.

Some of the replies in this thread tell you exactly why you are still required and when it will end.... hint... (it won't end)

I think people are worked up because they are being forced to wear masks, not because other people are wearing masks.

I don't care if people wear masks. I do find it annoying when I have to put one on to go to the doctor or dentist though. That is all.

Required by the public health department. They can shut you down if they catch you in violation. That's why you are seeing the mask required signs and the receptionist is giving you a mask.
