Day three, symptoms remain on the mild side, though a sore throat finally showed up this morning, is usually my first symptom, not the last. Not debilitating, just a mild PITA. Worst is the moderate tired feeling. Engaged in tres paste application. Still hasn't killed me, and this is the third go 'round within two years. Body temp was 97.3 this morning. Systolic BP (average of five readings) is about ten points under average, dunno if just a no-nothing transient or related in any way to the 'rona.

Better half developed symptoms yesterday, finally tested positive this morning. Despite her three jabs, she is having a worse time of it than I am. She's started Paxlovid, I passed. I feel like I should be clear of this in a few days, hopefully by the time I get my Shuff package scheduled for Wednesday delivery. I'm more concerned about my wife, who is generally in not as good health and suffered a severe heart attack out of the blue in May of '21 (coded twice, triple bypass - related to second jab??? ). If amenable, please wish her good fortune (no reply needed here), thanks!

          Day 4

Day 4, symptoms remain on the mild side, but still hanging on. Felt better this morning, more energetic, but a portion of that faded by afternoon. Skipped the paste, will take last two doses tomorrow and day 7. Still running a degree or two below normal on body temp and about ten psi down from normal systolic blood pressure. Maybe Omicron is good for you!

Wife having somewhat harder time of it, but still compares her symptoms to a garden variety head cold, nothing scary as of yet beyond the positive Covid test result. Hope this stays easy and also wish similar mild results or less for others who get tagged. Best of fortune to all.

            Day 7

While the symptoms of this 'rona infection have not been severe, man, they are hanging on and on. Day 7, took the last hit of paste today, can't really determine if it has helped or not. Day 5 was the worst, sore throat and weak/tired feeling ramped up. Feeling better now, but still have sinus drain, sporadic cough with phlegm, and some tiredness. Wife feels she has shaken all the symptoms, but still tested positive today. So I have to rate this virus as a C for impact, but an A for effort, it's the Energizer Bunny for head cold symptom propagation.

Blood clotting problems can linger. You may want to talk to your doctor about taking some low dose aspirin or other type of blood thinner. I had a friend that survived Delta Covid but died 6 weeks later from a massive heart attack at age 55. Otherwise healthy.

I was at Mousewitz yesterday, so we'll see. I've had it before though.

                    Nihonto -

Glad you're hanging in there, but sorry it's taking it's sweet time vacating your premisis.

Quick question - I know you mentioned you were taking zinc... zinc in the bloodstream is all well and good, but getting it through the cell walls and into the inner cell is important because that's where the virus is vulnerable, during it's replication in the cell nucleus. Are you taking a zinc ionophore of any kind, like hydroxychloroquine or quercetin?

My understanding from a few papers I've read is that these do serve to get the zinc down to where the rubber meets the road.

My daughters boyfriend just got over it and he had what amounted to a bad cold, his test was negative on day 9. Anyhow NC hang in there.

wife got it from co worker who went to a concert who came to work sick last week, and wife gave it to me.
Wife is nearly back to normal I'm catching up behind her.
No measurable fever, you would just think you had a usual cold season cold so far, mild, I've had far worse colds, I know it can come back hard again, but thinking that is not likely with Omicron. Paid covid time off from work so there is that. We had the JJ shot a year ago. I've been around thousands of people without masks, so seems like the close contact is needed at least for me and my wife it was.
