Taking a lot of stuff regularly here.
C, D, zinc and quercetin have been mainstays the entire pandemic (since early 2020 at least).
Tossed in magnesium and a multi to cover the bases later that year.
Later still, added lysine (amino acid supplement).
Have not had so much as a sniffle the past 2 years. Purely coincidental, I'm sure. The one thing worse than defeat is surrender.Comment

That may be true but how many Americans do you find outdoors for twenty minutes daily shirtless in shorts for 20 minutes, in December, January & February?
Supplements help bridge the gap between "ideal" and "practical".The one thing worse than defeat is surrender.Comment

The problem is indoor jobs are common today, so getting adequate D levels as if you were outdoors a significant portion of the day is not possible for many.Comment

Our pediatrician told us yesterday to start putting our kids on vitamin D supplements if we are even thinking of vaxing them. She said it'd greatly reduce chances of complications.CA Ex-Pat

Just came across this scholarly article dated 9 JAN 2022 discussing the relationship between Vitamin D and COVID.
Robust evidence of whether vitamin D deficiency is associated with COVID-19 infection and its severity is still lacking. The aim of the study was to evaluate the association between vitamin D levels and the risks of SARS-CoV-2 infection and severe ...
Conclusion
In this large observational population study, we show a significant association between vitamin D deficiency and the risks of SARS-CoV-2 infection and of severe disease in those infected.Comment

Also it's harder to activate Vitamin D as you get older. Supplements benefit more for older, obese, darker skin and individuals with kidney, liver disease.Originally posted by FjoldI've been married so long that I don't even look both ways when I cross the street.Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program.

I've had Covid twice, after I got over that bout the wife recommended for me to take D3 and I didn't listen until after I had recovered the 2nd time. Now every morning after I eat breakfast I take a multivitamin that has Vitamin C, D3, Zinc, as well as elderberry extract, seems to work.sigpicComment

If you've had Covid and assuming you're not vaxed that's probably enough to keep most people safe.
If "most" people had known to do the same
(or any of the varied protocols)
it's certainly enough to have stopped the pandemic shortly after Pierre Kory testified before the senate hearings. What do you call the people that abandoned the agenda of John Kennedy and adopted the agenda of Lee Oswald?

There's something that can help to increase the uptake of vitamin D. They ran trials to see how it did against covid. It seemed to work.
OPKO Health has reported initial data from the Phase II trial which showed that Rayaldee was effective to treat mild-to-moderate Covid-19.
Initial results from the trial showed that enhancing vitamin D status with the therapy led to early resolution of respiratory symptoms linked to Covid-19.
