Quercetin and Vitamin C together form a functioning zinc ionophore — a zinc delivery system. Zinc is what it delivers, so you actually need zinc as well. You need the gun and the bullet.

I have been taking a multi, D, zinc, and C. There is no harm in stacking the deck.

I wonder about D. Most people are deficient per modern testing criteria. Whenever most people are showing abnormal results I question the test.

D is a product of sun exposure. People who are out in the sun are usually exercising. As a result they would tend to be slimmer and more fit. Obesity is a covid magnifier. So is it a cause or effect?? Will taking D supplements give the same protective effect??

Also, doctors now want people to stay out of the sun. To much sun over the years is a skin cancer risk. Too little and your immune system suffers. What are you going to do....

zinc, d3, and C are all essential to a healthy immune system.
the elderly, diabetics, people with cancer or liver disease all tend to have low amounts of one or all of these, so it is no surprise they are more likely to get sick from covid, seasonal flu or anything else that goes around.
add the lockdowns so people are not eating right or getting any sun and they just made it worse, not better.

Supposedly our bodies don't take vitamin D supplements well. The uptake is very low or slow, or both. The best source of vitamin D is still from the body itself during exposure to sunlight.

I got a blood test about a year and half ago, everything was OK except for D3 shortage.
My hips are hurting more and more as I get older.
The doc gave me some mega dose D3 prescription pills to take for a few weeks.
I was not expecting this at all, but my hips hurt a lot less and I could walk and hike much farther.
Wondering what was going on since I felt better, only after I checked on D3 did I find the joint health / pain relationship.
So, in addition to a daily multi vitamin I take a D3 supplement every day since the prescription stuff ran out.

I got the first two Pfizer shots but nothing else.
I know I have been exposed to Covid, Delta and Omicron but have not got any of them, although I did have that mild but six week long "Super Cold" thing which may have been Covid? (I tested negative.)
Maybe the D3 made the difference?

Anyway, D3 is some good stuff.
              Just do it.

You need to be taking magnesium which activates vitamin D.

Israeli scientists said they found "striking" differences in the chances of getting seriously ill from COVID-19 when they compared patients who had sufficient vitamin D levels prior to contracting the disease, with those who didn't.

I was taking 20,000-30,000 IU a day of D3 and have cut back to only 10,000 IU of D3 a day.

Twenty minutes of sun exposure a day is sufficient for most people to maintain healthy natural levels of vitamin D. Eating healthy unprocessed foods is an added benefit.
