I'm just looking at it as a maths equation. Omicron was spreading so quickly that it literally took out something like 80% of school staff here in the last week. Having a brief circuit breaker isn't a bad thing in that sense. The issue is just that London's wave was about 3 to 4 weeks ago where as this is the week for our area.

I guess your counter argument is just let the virus, itself, shut things down for a week through absenteeism? I suppose its one in the same.
Are we going to have a 'circuit breaker' for the common cold now? And how were those people 'taken out'? I'll bet they had a runny nose. Take some dayquil and get back to the office.

At worst covid was like the flu. People who are obese, already sick (eg. diabetes) or elderly die all the time. To the tune of 60-70k/week.

It's not our job to 'protect the elderly' by stopping all activity in society and shutting down business.

I'm all on board with the notion that Omicron is not as deadly but its still higher than the common cold and probably equal to a bad flu, so people who get it deserve to take time off and rest. On top of that, the whole coming in to work ill thing is a serious pet peeve of mine whether someone has the sniffles or ebola and your not going to be running 80% over a typical cold. More likely it might be 5% this time of year.

Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)
