Until Congress and the Judicial branches are mandated, I'll remain a pure blood.
There is no week nor day nor hour, when tyranny may not enter upon this country, if the people lose their supreme confidence in themselves -- and lose their roughness and spirit of defiance -- Tyranny may always enter -- there is no charm, no bar against it -- the only bar against it is a large resolute breed of men.

Even if they are, how can we be certain they are being injected with the vax and not some benign substance?

Perhaps, perhaps not. I can tell you that those "family docs" are much less likely to have financial stakes in these decisions. Many of the docs on FDA panels/boards and in high level positions have turned out to have revolving doors between pharmaceutical companies and the FDA. I'd also wonder how many of them have significant stock holdings in the companies that make these products.

With counts in the hundreds maybe and no hope to recognize that person whose whole life they ruined in time.
We've seen some of these already. There seems to be a bit of "buyer's remorse", but a tendency to decide that it was "unlucky". That is because the parents CHOSE the treatment so they know that they have no one else to blame.

Now, imagine what happens when the parents who DID NOT trust the advice but are forced to vaccinate their kids will react if their kids are the "unlucky" ones.

No, the AAP is actually often right, but they do tend to be very political, even more so than the AAFM and the AAIM. They tend to think, "Hey, if it's a vaccine it MUST be good!"

I would definitely take their advice on having your child vaccinated against things like polio, tetanus, etc. The fact that we no longer have to see these horrifically damaging infections is a testament to medicine. Unfortunately, these physicians seem to forget that the even though it may be less of an issue than medications or other medical devices, the road to vaccination is still littered with the hulks of failed attempts.

                Not required here for patients.
Flu under the age of 5 has a very high complication rate. That includes death. That vaccine also has had a long history and was approved via standard methods (long term trials). Vaccines aren't a homogenous group when discussing risk/benefit. Each one needs to be viewed individually on its merits and risks.

BOTH statements show an immense over-simplification of the issue. Pediatricians obviously have more training in health care than the average person, but they also can't know everything-including the long term side effects of a new treatment.

We each make our own assessment,

mostly it's about the credibility of the experienced and educated trying to persuade us in this situation.

That persuasion is even necessary in the face of a pandemic is a red flag in that regard.

My own skepticism stems from the memory of the swine flu vaccination campaign in the 70's.

Skepticism has served me well I would say.
What do you call the people that abandoned the agenda of John Kennedy and adopted the agenda of Lee Oswald?
