    Pretty sure this list of meds is FUD. I made aspirin in high school chemistry lab.

    Regardless, even if some of these drugs are tied to fetal cells, it's not a "gotcha." I can honestly say I didn't know, and will seek alternatives in the future. It's a very slippery slope (i.e. puts the company at risk if they try it) for a company to try to debunk your stated religious belief. EEOC guidelines discourage it.

    So when they ask you questions regarding the use of these products or if you have the MMR or Small Pox vax or Chicken Pox vax or... How will you explain that the covid shot is substantively different from any of those based on your belief since you have used those products or had those vaccinations?

      I just sent in a one sentence reason - Pro-life and objecting to fetal cell usage. My exemption was approved by HR in about an hour, but the Executive Team being deeply religious themselves might have had something to do with it.

        I am writing my exception but lately started thinking that you don't get anything by playing nice anymore....
        Mine was neutral in tone, and short and sweet.

            That line of thinking will fail in court.

            Title VII is very broad and loose for the employee claiming exemption. It is not that lenient to employers.

              Consistency?

              That's not required since people can convert and religious beliefs can evolve over time. Employers should not get into such things per EEOC guidelines.

              That and as stated above, I wasn't aware but not that I am I can change my behavior.

                One of my friends is an electronics technician at the UC Berkeley Space Science Lab. He got a religious exemption after those in charge dilly dallied around for about a month about whether to give him an exemption. The last time they called him in to question him further about his reasoning, he said "The reason you won't give me an exemption is because I'm Hispanic, right?" Of course, being accused by inference that they might be racist caused them to fold like a house of cards and he got his exemption, because in the cloistered world of academia, being accused of racism is the kiss of death.

                I laughed like hell when he told me how he got his exemption, because it was good to see someone use the enemy's tools against them.
                ... The liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:
                * Creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
                * Satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
                * Augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
                * Rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government

                    Just got the email from the company all union-represented employees must be vaccinated or have a legally recognized accommodation by Feb 1, 2022.

                    Thanks for all the info and PMs that came. I should be able to turn in my exemption in the beginning of December. Fingers crossed guys! I'll keep post updated.
