Problem is all the politicians are now invested with Fauci and none is brave enough to admit they've been suckered and now want to reverse course because the rest of the mob would turn on them. I remember hearing about how in WW1 it soon became obvious that:

1) No one was really fighting over any issue. It wasn't as if the aim of France, Germany, Russia or UK was to "take over" the other nations or even take their colonies.

2) But no leaders could admit they had stumbled into a costly and meaningless war, so the only way out was to "win" at all costs, then hope to spin the meaninglessness away in the lap-dog press after the war.

UK seemed to do this very well. True death count was suppressed because there have been riots in the streets if anyone knew, but after the war Govt and Press was able to spin it as some great memorial event everyone needs to respect, so holding the Govt accountable would hurt those who had lost family or something.

History doesn't repeat but it rhymes.

What if social distancing made our immune system soft? Really, when was the last time you got a cold or sick at all? For many, it's been a couple of years. Now when exposed to Rhino Virus, it has free reign.

Let me put it this way: Parents have kids, and they start socializing with other kids, the parents at first get sick. Then less often. Then their immune systems are like iron. Because the ten biggest transmitters of sickness are the fingers on a kid, there is literally no escape as a parent, and the immune system gets plenty of exercise.

So yeah, expect your first "cold" of the winter to be worse than the last one.
