    NPR: ER's swamped/not covid

But now, they're too full. Even in parts of the country where COVID-19 isn't overwhelming the health system, patients are showing up to the ER sicker than they were before the pandemic, their diseases more advanced and in need of more complicated care.

Months of treatment delays have exacerbated chronic conditions and worsened symptoms. Doctors and nurses say the severity of illness ranges widely and includes abdominal pain, respiratory problems, blood clots, heart conditions and suicide attempts, among others.
Patients who couldn't see a doctor earlier in the pandemic or were too afraid to go to a hospital have finally become too sick to stay away. Many ERs now struggle to cope with an onslaught of need.

I think most of those are the people who were too scared to go to the hospital after listening to MSM for the last 20 months. They delay regular check ups and routine treatments until they couldn't delay any more. By then those small problems have festered to become larger problems.

Of course there might be a good portion of those being victims of the Trump vaccine.

Gotta fire some more unvaccinated doctors and nurses, that will solve this problem.

People use the ER as their 'primary care physician.'

This is how it should work in order of urgency:

                          1. Visit "Your doctor" if you have one.
                          2. If in a rush, visit the local "minute clinic" for minor issues
                          3. For better care, visit the local Urgent Care. Fast, much cheaper than ER. Good ones have X-ray and can run tests. This is the sweet spot.
                          4. ER. If you're not really sick or almost dead, expect to wait for hours. You might even catch more bugs from the people in the lobby. It's the McDonald's of medical care.
                          5. Ambulance. It's $5k as soon as you pick up the phone.
