Hopefully you didn't expect thoughtful, informed answers from Calguns.

Out of the two I am more interested in the Pfizer vaccine. That would be my first choice out of the field. Its mechanism is straightforward and highly unlikely to result in ADE, and it has the highest proven protectivity in trials. There is even emerging evidence that vaccination provides enhancing protection for those who have already had and beaten the disease, and that for the "long haulers" who can't seem to shake it, the vaccine has therapeutic value.

Cons are few, to be honest. You will hear a lot of "untested... unproven" nattering but it's not well supported, nor can anyone point to actual effects rather than suspicions. While it is true that we have no long-term data on vaccination -- how could we at this point -- it is simply wrong to say the new vaccines are relatively untested. The reason is simple: Vaccine development usually takes longer because the diseases they protect against are rare, giving us few opportunities to observe their efficacy. That is not the case for SARS-CoV-2. Studies and trials have been chock full of viable test subjects, allowing rather good statistics.

Out of the pack I personally like Pfizer simply because their trials and reporting have been the most straightforward. There is going to be an element of marketing in any of these studies, but at the end of the day results speak for themselves. I feel they were the most straightforward, edging out competitor Moderna.

Now, the Johnson&Johnson vaccine still has a role to play, but mostly due to its lesser incidence of side effects. This is where you should speak to your doctor, but speaking generally, those with vulnerabilities where a day of flu-like symptoms would be a big problem should consider this one instead. This is not the case for me.

My wife is halfway through Moderna. No noticeable side effects so far. I'm still not eligible, and probably won't be for a while thanks to State shenanigans...

Undaunted, he fled this forum and went to OT in the desperate hope of finding his much needed dose of admiration and adulation there. March 7 (Reuters) - Florida's top health official said on Monday the state would recommend against the COVID-19 vaccine for healthy children, breaking with guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In announcing the move during press briefing convened by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the state's surgeon general Dr. Joseph Lapado cited studies that showed few COVID fatalities among healthy children and elevated risk among young boys receiving the vaccine of side effects such as myocarditis.

"The Florida Department of Health is going to be first state to officially recommend against the use of COVID 19 vaccines for healthy children," Lapado said during the more than 90-minute panel discussion.

Unfortunately I think he dug himself a very deep hole with this thread. I noticed in the OT people don't even bothered to respond to his posts anymore. He has lost his credibility completely.
