How does this ever end?

I think what will eventually happen to this country is we will end up like the USSR or Venezuela and then inevitably the economy and society will break down and collapse. Then a new government will be formed based on the original Constitution hopefully, and we will start over.

I don't think the collapse will happen in my life time but I can see the move towards authoritarian marxism happening before our eyes.

If it doesn't collapse then we will turn into an oligarchy like Russia is today. I suppose that is more likely. As long as the change is gradual over multiple generations there will not be a violent upheaval.

I seriously no longer trust the system. Maybe it's a 'me' thing - but im usually pretty level headed... we're in a place I've never seen before and indications are not convincing me it will change.

I'm not always right - and really hope I'm wrong this time... hope for the best - but definitely prepare for the worst.

It's not a you thing at all. I feel the same and friends I've talked to refuse to vote until the system is fixed. I've tried to talk to them but they don't want to hear it. This is what the dems wanted.
What's worse is I don't trust the government anymore. I could give you reasons why but I'm sure you know already.

When the food runs out or the it becomes cost prohibitive is when things might get hairy. i.e. a loaf of sourdough bread from the local grocery (house brand) on 10/01/21 was $1.99, yesterday (10/20/21 same store only 4 loafs of the same bread on the shelf at $2.99. (Bread supply was very limited)

When the stomachs start to cramp/growl and the kids are not fed, is when some will hit the streets.

This winter if heating fuel is in low supply or to costly you can add that to the short supply of food and this spring will be interesting.

We know the powers that are driving this insanity are working toward some very dark end. Whether that's mass depopulation, social credit/control, or whatever it's clear they're willing to go to every end in order to achieve their goals.

The question in my mind currently is, how does this ever come to a stop? The doomers among us will say there is no end, there is no use, resistance is futile. I don't believe they're right. There is always a redemption story, but how? What will it take? Mass non-compliance is one ingredient but it won't be the only one and by itself it won't be useful. I believe it will get darker and remain that way for several years, but what does the realistic happy resolution look like?

It stops when they get they what they want or are soundly defeated, legally or militarily.

How does this ever end?

Well, the pandemic is already over. It's now an endemic like the common flu.

The vaccines don't work, with CNN reporting two weeks ago that the vaccine effectiveness is warning badly, with Pfizer at 20% effectivity after four months and J&J at 3% at five months (Moderna also poor), so it covid becomes just a cold and you have to take frequent booster shots.

We have allowed the statists to govern our health decisions and institute social credit passports in parts of the country like communist China.

The statists will not yield their power. Very likely you will have to get a weekly booster shot just to go to work or go shopping. There wont be an end to this unless we get a strong constitutionalist in the White House in three years, maybe Trump or De Santis. A normal Republican will just go along to get along.

In short, get ready for three years of constant monitoring and frequent booster shots just to do basic life functions.

I totally agree and that was my inference, just poorly stated. That's where we (Wife and I) hope that we are personally advantaged. We live in a 55+ aged mobile park and most don't think us older folk have much...may be mistaken; shall see how it plays out. (...or easy pickin's).

The next three years will be interesting.
