I'm not quite as pessimistic as some. I remember Kennedy. 1968. MLK and Bobby. Kent State. Vietnam. I served under Jimmah Catah as my CinC. If not for him we wouldn't have got Reagan. Yes these are dark and sometimes depressing times but we've been through bad times before and come out the other side.

Do you seriously think any of those times were comparable? If so, I think you're really out of touch.

Don't forget, we haven't even begun to see the economic fallout... you're comparing the 'beginning' of our current bad situation to the end result of previous bad times... when it's all said and done, it won't even be comparable.

I seriously no longer trust the system. Maybe it's a 'me' thing - but im usually pretty level headed... we're in a place I've never seen before and indications are not convincing me it will change.

It's not a you thing at all. I feel the same and friends I've talked to refuse to vote until the system is fixed. I've tried to talk to them but they don't want to hear it. This is what the dems wanted.
