"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis

Sorry you couldn't make it in Texas and then having to take a job with rules really sucks. My Dad left Texas 100 years ago.......

Plus, the counties set up the local vax database. They have the data to cross check vax cards.

                  Dibs!!!

Why not just get the J&J?

J&J would be my only option / crap arsed choice.

Cal Guard is already leaning that way...so I'd get the double green weenie.

Yes - happily left CA for some out-FN-standing great quality of life....but since the wind-down job didn't work.... I'm actually lucky my boss would take me back.

Not Union - unclassified / at will at the pleasure of an elected. Have to bring the "A" game daily, which got me reinstated. Can't carry over more than several hundred hours of Comp time - I give it away (i.e. LOSE it) ever year.

It's only money guys.... damn 1st world problems.... right?

IOW get the jab. I finally caved and got the J&J. One shot no mRna whatever DNA meddling. No side effects, got the card, now nobody cares. I've presented the card at doctor's appts. no interest. All they want to do is enforce mask wearing rules, take temps, etc. The whole thing is bull****, but I think the J&J is harmless.

Yeah, large impetus for my question to OP about hanging on to Texas. Mental and emotional health impacts physical health. However, with more information since it appears they interact professionally with government and politics, perhaps they are conditioned to deal with this crap. Not me brother, I'd eat dirt to stay in Texas.

Take the jab then sue for mental anguish. I’m in the same boat. Strongly want to not take the jab. I’m willing to sell everything take a HUGE tax hit and break away from California but I’m afraid no matter where I go I will be forced to take the jab.
I guess I can take the jab and then become another lazy pos government worker like everyone else.
