My dad has covid. He is a diabetic, had triple by pass surgery last year. And he's fine relaxing at home. Some pandemic, huh?

True. That is long covid. But a lot of people don't have that... And 99.9998 of kids don't. They just shake it off.
Something like 22% of cases severe enough to be hospitalized have permanent damage.

        Yes. It's just the flu.

Close call! Sounds like he barely escaped a long, painful death...

Plenty of leftist infiltrators and agitators who do have iTrader ratings to appear organic in nature.

We should start a forum for long time CGN members with zero ITrader.

Almost zero are hospitalized. It doesn't affect kids. Another reason that pushing the vax on kids is crazy.

At no time i felt like i needed to see a doctor, but it lasts so long at times you wouldn't mind dropping dead.

                In sequence

                Week 1 resembles a cold/flu:
                Chills
                Uncontrollable sweating
                Intense Migraine
                Fever 104* every single day
                No appetite
                Cough starts

                End of Week 1:
Complete exhaustion due to lack of food and continuing 104* fever
60 hours of sleep only waking up in coughing fits
                Start coughing up mucous (green/yellow)
                Muscle aches everywhere
Incident one night getting up to go to the bathroom, sweat pouring from everywhere, nearly passed out on the way. Ended up falling asleep on the toilet.

                Week 2:
                Pneumonia fully sets in
Difficulty breathing (this was only helped by anti-biotics)
Appetite comes back but the taste of food has completely changed
-Fruits taste normal, meat is disgusting, salt and sweet foods are enhanced
                -Still has not fully returned
No smell (poor to begin with)
Eyes have difficulty focusing, cannot see with or without glasses
Fever starts going down around day 10, gone by day 13.

                Ongoing:
                Diminished taste but coming back
                Bouts of exhaustion
Bouts of being unable to catch my breath
                Ongoing cough
Unable to regulate body temperature at times, hot/cold, sweats, chills, but without fever
Every day gets a bit better...
Maybe your immune system sucks. We have like 100 people now at work who have had it. Those are just the ones I know about. Its a ~2000 employee company. A day or two of fever, coughing, congestion, headaches, chills, sweats, then a couple more days of lessening symptoms, then usually by the end of the week they are fine. That was the experience by my wife and I as well. One dude just came back this week after serving out his quarantine. He had sniffles for a couple days and a mild fever and tested positive twice. Then tested "undetermined" a couple times, then finally tested negative. Hes fine and exactly the same as he ever was. Another guy did loose his taste for a few weeks and it started coming back a little at a time where he could taste some things but not others. He has been fine for a while now.

The uncle of one of the guys here has terminal cancer and is at the end of his life. He got it and they tried to put him on a ventilator right off the bat and he was like F you I'm not going out like that. He was back home in a couple days. The rona wasn't bad for him, and certainly nothing compared to all the other stuff he is dealing with. He had less than a year to live with all his cancer stuff.

Fun enough, sounds very similar to October 2019 for me. I was sick for about 2 weeks at the time. I should get an antibody test. Never cared before, now I'm just curious.
