My Mom, Aunt, and their significant others just got back from NYC visiting my brother. 2 of them came back with COVID and all of them had the double jab months ago. They are all liberal as hell. I feel bad of course, but I really hope this at least makes her wonder. Both of them are doing just fine of course.Comment

Unfortunately it is not that simple. For week #1, yes. This is NOT A NATURAL ILLNESS. Every 2 days you feel nearly back to normal and then the virus attacks a completely different part of the body. It is the oddest experience i've ever dealt with. At no time i felt like i needed to see a doctor, but it lasts so long at times you wouldn't mind dropping dead.
In sequence
Week 1 resembles a cold/flu:
Chills
Uncontrollable sweating
Intense Migraine
Fever 104* every single day
No appetite
Cough starts
End of Week 1:
Complete exhaustion due to lack of food and continuing 104* fever
60 hours of sleep only waking up in coughing fits
Start coughing up mucous (green/yellow)
Muscle aches everywhere
Incident one night getting up to go to the bathroom, sweat pouring from everywhere, nearly passed out on the way. Ended up falling asleep on the toilet.
Week 2:
Pneumonia fully sets in
Difficulty breathing (this was only helped by anti-biotics)
Appetite comes back but the taste of food has completely changed
-Fruits taste normal, meat is disgusting, salt and sweet foods are enhanced
-Still has not fully returned
No smell (poor to begin with)
Eyes have difficulty focusing, cannot see with or without glasses
Fever starts going down around day 10, gone by day 13.
Ongoing:
Diminished taste but coming back
Bouts of exhaustion
Bouts of being unable to catch my breath
Ongoing cough
Unable to regulate body temperature at times, hot/cold, sweats, chills, but without fever

Buddy and his wife have it, no vax, mid 50's and healthy. They say just some aches and pains.
If there was no virus/pandemic he says they would have figured flu and not even gone to the doctor for meds. That is how little the covid affected them.Comment

True. That is long covid. But a lot of people don't have that... And 99.9998 of kids don't. They just shake it off.Comment
