Being trapped in the house with the wife and 3 kids that are 8,4, and 5 months old for 10 days is probably gonna be the hardest part.

Thats pretty much what we have, minus the mucinex- I really never got much of a cough or sinus issues. Im a firm believer in those zicam/zinc tablets, they really do work.

I didn't have a cough either so taking the mucinex was pre-emptive. All the stories coming out at the time were about the lungs filling up with fluid after which you'd drown. (Well not before Fauci or Cuomo would show up to put you on a vent... then it was curtains)

And funny you mention that film, because I've walked away without a scratch from a few catastrophes in my lifetime, to the point that an ex-girlfriend and some others started calling me that; but it was meant more as a jibe for having gotten myself into those situations in the first place.

Always makes for some great stories though!

I reported my symptoms to work and went to go get the test- figured what the hell, free day off. Bam- positive antigen test, next day positive pcr test. Sunday and Monday just had a mild fever with a headache, easily controlled by dayquil, fever never got much above 100. By Tue fever was gone, taste buds were kinda dull and cant smell anything. Today woke up with pretty knarly sinus pressure and on/off sweats, nothing else. I do qet tired easily trying to accomplish any task involving physical effort- but no shortness of breath at all. Worst part is all 3 of my kids have it, luckily they are all pretty much fine. Wife got Moderna in March, shes just had a bad headache for 2 days- test results should be in soon. So on one hand, still got covid despite the vaccine. On the other hand, my symptoms were pretty mild compared to most Ive run into, so maybe it provided some benefit.
So no vaccine here, had exact same symptoms in December at which time I tested positive. I'm 60 an in good shape I don't think the vax really did anything for you, but nobody can know that cause there's only one of you and you can't go back in time and not get the vax.

Since you have the deadliest disease in the history of mankind, dibs on your guns.

In all seriousness, I had the rona in January. PCR and rapid test. Same with the guy I got it from and the people I gave it to.

My symptoms were not quite as bad as yours, one of the people I gave it to had less symptoms than I and the other had 0 symptoms at all. Guy who gave it to me was older, heavy and undiagnosed diabetic. He went in the hospital. His roommate was frail and in his lat 80’s. He was found dead on the floor when my friend returned from the hospital. That was the only COVID death I have first hand knowledge of. But seriously, when Veril moved in, I told my buddy that guy is going to move out in a body bag and that was before the rona had been invented.

Actually, Veril was never diagnosed or tested for the rona, we just assume it was a rona death because it was in the house and he died.

The vaccine preps your body to fight off the bug if you catch it, which is what happened.
Why do I keep hearing this? The vaccines are supposed to be effective in preventing infection, meaning the prevent you from contracting the virus and testing positive.

No, they only prime you for the precursor to the booster that comes before the superboost that is required before you get the full benefit from the following 12 shots.
