Got Vaccinated in Jan with Pfizer, now got Covid.

Got diagnosed with Covid this sunday. Started with chills in the early am, felt like a hangover getting ready for work- checked my temp and it was 99.8 which is high for me. I reported my symptoms to work and went to go get the test- figured what the hell, free day off. Bam- positive antigen test, next day positive pcr test. Sunday and Monday just had a mild fever with a headache, easily controlled by dayquil, fever never got much above 100. By Tue fever was gone, taste buds were kinda dull and cant smell anything. Today woke up with pretty knarly sinus pressure and on/off sweats, nothing else. I do qet tired easily trying to accomplish any task involving physical effort- but no shortness of breath at all. Worst part is all 3 of my kids have it, luckily they are all pretty much fine. Wife got Moderna in March, shes just had a bad headache for 2 days- test results should be in soon. So on one hand, still got covid despite the vaccine. On the other hand, my symptoms were pretty mild compared to most Ive run into, so maybe it provided some benefit.

Covid vaccine doesn't give someone a force field against catching it. Just like people who get a flu vaccine and can still catch the flu.

The vaccine preps your body to fight off the bug if you catch it, which is what happened.

the virus isn't an automatic death sentence either.

the vast majority of people overcome with little to no issues.

It's lunacy that things have gone this deep.

Good to hear your case is light, comparatively. Imagine what it could have been if you got it a year or so ago.

Get well soon! And thank Donald Trump for Warp Speed.

Covid has shown it can be like a car slipping out of park on a slight incline. It's easy to stop when it's just getting started, making for a light case. Let it pick up a head of steam it can become a real juggernaut. Can't let it start to snowball.

I know if it was me I'd be throwing the kitchen sink at it to stay out of the hospital or prevent "long-hauler" covid.

In any event, hope you all get to feeling better soon and have a favorable outcome.
You mean like vitamin C D and Zinc? Yeah were doing that. Heres the thing, I was sick back in Feb of 2020, exact same symptoms and disease process as this go around. So Im positive Ive had covid before, but the US wasnt suppose to have any active cases until March. We now know thats not true, dont we? I think for me the big indicator is the fever. Once that goes away it seems downhill from there. My friends and family who got it had long lasting fevers that lasted almost a week or more. Once the fever broke they started to get better pretty quick.

O/P's symptoms sound EXACTLY on par with MOST people who contracted any of the variants of 'COVID' who were NOT vaccinated, so pointing to it as being sure the symptoms were lesser because he was vaccinated is nonsense.

His symptoms sound just a crappy as anyone else that hadn't been vaccinated - barring any comorbidities or being a fat pig.

18 months... and I still haven't gotten COVID, let alone haven't had a cold or flu since 1986 - for real.

I have not taken a "sick day" in more than 35 years of being in the working world.

I must be an X-Men or something.

try to get therapeutics, or at least vitamin D and C and zinc.

Impossible, Biden said you can’t get COVID if you’re vaccinated.
