Hello Melissa,Hello everyone, this is Jack's wife... first off thank you for the post... No he did not commit suicide, he got covid again, he tested positive on Tues. He was up Friday evening eating and walking around, and Saturday morning could not catch his breath, ambulance was called and he went into cardiac arrest shortly after reaching the hospital.
Please take care of each other, tell your loved ones how much they mean to you, be kind to others.
Thank you
Melissa Nyce
Thank you for updating us on Jack. I spoke with a few of the guys and gals at SFPD, and we're willing to pitch in to help in any capacity that we can, going forward through this. While I did not have the privillege to work with Jack during our employment together in San Francisco, he still found a way to help out total strangers like me. I can go on and on about how fantastic he was in the weeks I got to know him until my face turns blue, but I'm certain you're already aware of how lucky we all have been to be blessed with a person like Jack.
Please take care, and if there is anything you need of myself or his brothers and sisters back at the department, let me know and I will do what I can. Take care and God Bless you and your family.
All the Best,
Robert

That is horrible. I am so sorry for your loss. Did he have any treatment before going to the hospital?https://www.facebook.com/pages/Union...70812799700206
