Have I missed confirmation of the much hoped for herd immunity?

It seems to me it's more a matter of us being on the cusp of begrudgingly accepting it doesn't happen.

If that were not so wouldn't we be hearing talk of blood transfusions as a means to immunity?

Local Fox News earlier tonight finally said it right... they were addressing the idea that heard immunity won't happen - and stated: "we'll have to learn to live with it, like the flu".

Only took a year- but finally some sensibility in the news.

        It's not a vaccine,

they call it one for some psychological benefit I suppose. (good or bad)

"a vaccine" evokes the response "oh good like polio and small pox".

Uh no...."work" in this instance is making symptoms less severe than if you had not been vaccinated.

The touted "%95 effective" refers to that not to making you immune to the disease or not contagious if you do get it.

(que the "no vaccine is %100 effective" shills trying to splice that half truth back together)

Well I'm all for being optimistic on that but the claims made by the
manufacturers of the genetic treatments are just as I have indicated.

I'm by no means an antivaxxer,

I must have taken a couple of dozen in my lifetime and recall the swine flu debacle of 1976 so I understand both that some will die and not all will be protected.

It's the facts of vaccines and pretty much our duty to accept the risk considering the history of small box, polio etc.,etc..

I would take a vaccine for Covid were it to offer some reasonable expectation of protection and minimal chance of injury.

When I look at 200 deleted facebook posts of death and injury,
consider Sputters examples of same from reddit and view a professor of molecular genetics explanation of the principles I don't feel the same about being part of a clinical trial on a genetic modification course of treatment that no test animal has survived similar treatments.

One observation I would make is that I'm told there were scientists at Los Alamos that were convinced a nuclear detonation would ignite the atmosphere.

                      Didn't happen,

that wasn't a situation where we could have avoided the result through prudence....this is.

"but in all likelihood, and all signs are pointing to, the vaccine producing immunity to the virus."

                              That's legit perspective.

My approach is to attempt to take it all in with the understanding that most is BS. (media & internet alike)

I hope to make a good decision about what is true and what is false from seeing which elements "fit" with others and reason.

Because of that I won't reject the agenda 21 slant or even the various space alien interaction theories but I don't see them as very strong in the running.
