Most libs aren't smart enough to unpack what this 'doctor' said. See at the time the existing knowledge of flu vaccine effectiveness was about 30% since it's just a guess what strain to vaccinate for each year and they mostly guess wrong.

Then we had several universities do some 'studies' on what masks do the best at filtering particles. Note that there is zero correlation between a masks ability to filter and if they slow the spread of disease, those two things must be studied differently and there was no study that showed mask effectiveness and stopping or slowing the spread, but for Dr. Redfield that didn't matter, he just figured he would bafflem em with BS and made that statement as if there was a correlation between mask filtering ability, which was reported to be about 30% with the typical surgical mask and so he tells the public that this is true and the mask gives you 30% protection like a vaccine.

This is utter, total and complete disinformation with zero science behind it, but that matters not to the useful idiots who can't wait to comply with the next totalitarian edict from on high.

If masks were even minimally effective then the Danemask study of 6000 people seeking to answer the question of if masks reduce community spread would have come up with at least a minimally statistically significant result. it did not and in fact the outcome was orders of magnitude less than the statistically significant threshold.

Redfield, like Fauci, is lying to the public, he's just not admitting it like Fauci does.

What exactly is the CDC trying to say here? I thought the idea of wearing the mask was to protect you from getting the wuflu? Now they say it doesn't matter under the above circumstances, the same circumstances which we have been told for months that it does protect you?

Here's a paper that looks at half a dozen studies on masks and asks the important question, what is the minimum infectious dose, or MID.

There are typically 10 to 3rd power − 10 to 7th power virions per aerolized influenza droplet with diameter 1 μm − 10 μmif anything gets through (and it always does, irrespective of the mask), then you are going to be infected. Masks cannot possibly work. It is not surprising, therefore, that no bias-free study has ever found a benefit from wearing a mask or respirator in this application.

1 nanometer particle/droplet can carry enough virons to infect a person. The N95 can filter out most particles over 300 nanometers.

That sock tied to your face just makes you look silly and none of the 'experts' are telling people to wear only N95 for maximum (read no) protection.

First. I’ve never told anyone to rip off their mask. Quite the opposite. Wear one if you’re vulnerable or even just scared by the news. But leave me the heck alone.

Second. Not sure how a mask laid on a bar is “protecting me nicely”. But that’s a typical twisted response by little d which is why it’s on ignore.

Third. Yep that’s my mask. But I’ve never used the straps. It just sits on my nose when necessary to keep people like little d from passing out with fear. I had it with me yesterday only because I hadn’t been at that bar in a long time and didn’t know what their entry policy was. They didn’t have a policy since they are flat out defying the closure orders. So, no mask worn.

And since I’ve gone this far. Here’s a question for you little d. Did you have any luck courting the beavers? Or did they ignore you too?

Its also probably not blocking particulate as much as advertised anymore, Those creases on both sides are weak points in the mask now. The fabric these use loses its effectiveness when its bent or folded.
