You don't die *from* damn near any virus. It always causes failures in other organs. So yeah, you'll die from oxygen starvation due to penumonia, or from a heart attack caused by loss of oxygen to the heart, or any number of other things. And this particular one kills your more miserably than a simple heart attack would.

If you actually believe the "science", you would examine the data, not just repeat pronouncements from "experts" who have multiple times admitted to lying or were absolutely wrong (yes, I'm looking at you St Fauci).

In Florida, for example, most counties have so far bravely refused to implement mask mandates while others, usually in high population centers, have done so. Justin Hart and the team at Rational Ground (follow them on Twitter hereme shockedcompare national numbers

It can be argued that this is just a single study, which is true. And there are many factors to consider, which is true. But the simple fact is that if there is no consistent benefit to mask wearing locations vs locations that didn't mandate masks then it is impossible to make a reasonable case that mask mandates are effective or even reasonable.

And remember, the entire justification for mandating masks originated from two "studies", an examination of a single hair salon where the stylists wore masks (one was infected, but there was no huge spread amongst clients) and a single international flight where one infected individual wore a mask but there wasn't mass infections. Then there were the videos of sneezing or exhaling while wearing a mask vs not wearing a mask, and this junk science was used to make the claim that masks would stop the spread of coronavirus. Given that you need to be in proximity to an infected person for at somewhere between 10 and 15 minutes to be infected the video is totally irrelevant as to how effective masks are at preventing the spread of coronavirus.

You will always find some "expert" who will say what you want to hear. Always. I don't care what the subject is or what your stance is on the matter. But with regard to coronavirus the contradictions and the confirmation bias are in overdrive.

Apparently, according to the compliant, statist left, objecting to the politicization of science now constituteswait for itpoliticizing science.

So wear a mask if you want. If you believe that they work then they'll protect you - you don't need to demand that I also wear one. But I'm not going to wear a mask outside, even if I'm walking past a crowd, I'm not wearing one on my bike, and I'm not wearing one inside my house even if someone outside my household comes by. I'll wear one inside a business that would have to close if they didn't require masks, but that's it.

Have at it mike, we still will not become ITS TWOO ITS TWOO believers no matter how much malarkey is cast about across this topic. And for what its worth, I still wear the same bandana I have used since april or may and it has not yet been washed. I ONLY wear it to get into the grocery store or my bank or LGS. And rip it off before going out the door I came in thru. Whatever floats your boat or your trolling methods.

I'm not really sure what to make of your statement. Are you not making the connection between the reason you are supposed to wear a mask and who dictated that policy? Are you really that detached from reality?

                          Two things:

                          1. There is no asymptomatic spread. A study done in China involving 10 million people found no asymptomatic spread. A study done at the University of Florida found no asymptomatic spread. Strangely, the article that summarizes the findings is no longer available on the University website, but it is still in the web archive. http://web.archive.org/web/202012230...omatic-spread/

                          2. Masks do not prevent the spread of a viral contagion. Several studies have been done over the years seeking to find any scientific evidence of this and all found no benefit WRT the common cold or seasonal flu. In Denmark they did a study this year of 6000 people, half wore masks, half did not. The result was 42 people in the masking arm got the virus and 53 in the non masking arm got the infection, a statistically insignificant difference of -0.3%
A full exposition of the Danish mask study, which on close reading has even stronger findings than the headline results suggest.

The plain and simple fact that masks don't protect you is made plain by this graph.

Just so we are on the same page, these are the reasons why you are told that you are sick by bureaucrats and that you can't trust your body to tell you that you are sick, you might be sick right now and you just don't know it and you could be asymptomatically spreading the virus even though science shows that to be impossible and even if it were the mask does not protect you.

It's been shown that the amount of infection happening in indoor restaurants is around 2 percent. Conversely in NY during the initial stages of the pandemic it was found that 60% of new infections seeking care were from those in isolation at home. 60% of this is spread at home, yet the public health officials in LA admitted last week that they don't have any science to back their closure of restaurants, they just did it so people would stay home where the virus spreads like wildfire.

That's why the above chart looks like it does, the masking and lock downs make the spread worse, not better. The gap between the number of infections in California, the leading state in the nation for infections at over 2.1 million, and the other states that are somewhat close continues to widen, but Texas and Florida are not subject to the ridiculous and ineffective mask mandates nor are they forced to state home where most of the spread is occuring.
