No, it's stupid *not* to wear a mask when around other people. Very stupid. Unfortunately, we live in a society where stupidity is not nearly as painful as it ought to be.

Maybe you can answer my now 9 month old question that no one has?

      What are the odds that I can transmit any disease to anyone if;
      I’m not coughing or sneezing
I’m not within 6 feet of you
      I’m not yelling at you
      You are wearing a mask
And I’m not wearing a mask?

      I say statistically zero.

You must wear the mask to virtue signal to others. IF you refuse to wear the mask while alone and outdoors you are signaling that you are a rebel. That makes it OK to harass, and possibly assault, you.

Largely agree with that. And the guidance isn't to wear the mask *all* the time. It's to wear it when you're around people or in a confined space. Going for a walk by yourself and no one's around you? Don't wear the mask. Walk on a pier with a thousand other people? Wear the mask.

            Wrong.

How am I going to spread the virus if I am not sick?

Even if I was sick, how the hell would a mask stop a virus from escaping?

Even if I was sick, and had no mask, do you really think walking around a pier outside in the wind is going to expose people to the virus?? It's not like I would be coughing into their eyes from 1 inch away. Several feet away, outdoors, in a breeze (piers are always windy), in the sun, when I have no symptoms, means I am not spreading the virus to anyone.

But even if I DID spread the virus, it wouldn't matter, because it has a 99.97% survival rate. What the heck is the big deal????

Over 300k of your fellow citizens have died because of this already. I guess if you have no empathy for anyone else it's not a big deal. Good on ya.

^^^ there are always unintended consequences... most people never bother to consider the possibilities - they just do what everyone else is doing.

Mask pollution is only one of many...

A bureaucrat told you this year for the first time in history that you cannot tell when you are sick, you must be told by a bureaucrat to know if you are sick or not, you cannot trust your own body like you have for your entire life, you must be told by a bureaucrat.

And for some reason this is not the definition of stupidity to you.

Shortly after Biden is seated, that is if the people of the nation allow a criminal under federal investigation to be seated as president, the death toll will be revised down by about 2/3 and many of those deaths will be reclassified as heart disease, cancer and other major causes of death that seem to have fallen to near zero this year.

There is a big difference between dying with covid and dying from covid.

Only about 6% of those who died with covid died from covid.
