My wife and I have both been working from home since March, obviously not replicable for non-white collar workers. I wear a mask whenever I go to any indoor venue. I've also been avoiding most social engagements, no large gatherings and when I do hang out with anyone it's 1-2 people and strictly outdoors. Lastly, I've increased handwashing and hand sanitizer usage. I've done all an individual can do. What have you personally done?I'll play. What are YOU doing to slow or halt the spread of covid19??????????
Most of us have jobs and lives that are dependent on us going about our daily lives and go to work.
I don't get a choice. I have to go to work. I work in tele/ICU as a registered nurse and have been dealing with covid19 since March. You want the numbers to go down? Then stay inside and stfu. The rest of us have livelihoods to maintain and people go answer to that depend on us.
I'm sure there's no correlation between all the riots and protests since May and the nationwide uptick in covid19 in densely populated areas
I fully agree that the BLM protests earlier in the summer increased spread, but that's definitely not the story for this surge. The current surge is heavily concentrated in rural states. Also, I don't recall a lot of riots in ND/SD/WY/ID/UT or anywhere in the country for that matter in the beginning of October. Nice narrative too bad the facts do not concur.
Do whatever your personal perception of risk indicates, but recognize most people are terrible at relative risk assessment.. If, you think the virus is a hoax, like the flu, the numbers are fake, etc. after 9 months of actual facts and data indicating otherwise, you're clearly unreachable. However, you should take the virus seriously. I recognize some people don't grasp abstraction well and will only take it seriously if themselves or someone close to them has an adverse consequence. Good luck everyone, we're going to need it over the next 4-6 weeks.Last edited by balgor; 11-15-2020, 12:50 AM.Critical Thinking Skills:

It’s weird how taking a virus seriously is somehow a partisan issue?
Do you all know how many viruses are out there in the world, especially among birds and mammals?
This isn’t the first virus outbreak the world has had to deal with nor will it be the last.
A virus doesn’t care if you’re a democrat or republican.
Ignorance and stubbornness are probably the best things for a virus to succeed.Comment

Not exactly.
Sweden's chief epidemiologist has admitted that the country is now experiencing a second wave of coronavirus despite predicting that the country's no-lockdown policy would prevent another surge.
Sweden has admitted its coronavirus immunity predictions were wrong as cases soar across the countrySweden's chief epidemiologist has acknowledged the country is experiencing a second wave of the coronavirus as COVID-19 cases and deaths surge.Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!
The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)Comment

Anecdotal evidence
The flu is MUCH MORE deadly to children than this thing.... You keep worrying about fat people and the elderly with co-morbidity, and I'll worry about our children, and their mental health. We have too much to lose and so we'll lose it all - sd_shooterI try to frame my response to be useful to those observing, with little regard to convince the opponent of my awesomeness - EM2TRUMP/NUNESIt's hard to win an argument with a smart person, but it's impossible to win an argument with a stupid person - WhitefangComment

It's weird how people can't grasp the unintended consequences when alarmists get their way. How livelihoods being lost, other important health issues not being diagnosed or treated, spikes in suicide & substance abuse, increases in domestic violence, etc..... just don't seem to matter.

Didn't you see Dhumwrnon a crowded stage with no mask screaming about how they won? Then the vaccine announcement after that to not make Trump look good. Then the voter fraud started coming out and covid is worse than ever.https://www.facebook.com/pages/Union...70812799700206

Not every death reported is due to covid.
Even if that many people died in a certain period (target of this discussion), compare that to number of deaths for the same length of time in the past years. Millions die in US every year by a variety of causes.
Here is a quick search:
"""
So, look at the numbers and make your own judgment.
I'm not a Dr but looking at those numbers, something smells fishy about covid death reports.Comment

"Just wear a ****ing mask for a few weeks and it'll all be ok I promise."
Once again I dont think you understand biology or viruses.
Also cali has had a mask mandate for months where tf have you been? Does it seem to be stopping covid? Also why are you assigning feelings to people like me? You dont understand its possible for a person to see through the bs and still empathize when people die? Stop driving your car and stop going to the doctor people die everyday from both.Comment
