Even if the virus isn't done with us..
Gloom and doom from the health dept. on local tv about more cases and possible shutdown but people here in Utah go about their summer business as usual.. Including me.
Very difficult to shutdown middle America. Not a popular move here.

Truly, I wish you and yours the best. not sure what your numbers are like in utah but they suck here in Los Angeles. We were allowed to visit GMIL in the hospital today. 1 person, 5 minutes, through the observation window only. you have to make an appointment and the infectious disease doctor has to allow it, as the hospital currently allows no visitors at anytime.

they gave us a brief exception because GMIL may be dying soon. her floor, 3rd floor med surg, has quite a few covid19 patients. it's not overwhelmed by any means, but it's definitely a problem here in LA.

IIRC today 2400+ new cases and 36 deaths. it's a new high I think, too.

36 deaths is an incredibly small number, considering 60 thousand die each week from "all causes." Let's take that 36 and create a week out of it: 252
252/60000 = 0.004

LA is worried about less than 1% of all deaths?

Went to a BBQ at a local Texas lake hosted by my neighbor the “beach” was packed with EZ Ups, BBQs and Texans having fun, Social Distancing and masks were no where to be found! lol!

And before the usual trolls says Texas COVID cases are spiking well of course they are my county finally has mass testing available so of course they are finding more cases duh!

Shutting down is past history nationwide. Red states are done with it. I, personally, have never been the least bit worried nor own a mask.. At 69 tears of age. Tiny odds of infection and especially significant symptoms.

When you look at this graph you will see that Utah's cases have been pretty flat for the duration and hospitals have not been overwhelmed.
