I had heard something on the radio about issues with transplanting seniors in senior living facilities because no places want to take on new (unknown) residents without a two-week quarantine. I guess those who recover from COVID-19 fall into that same situation.

Yeah. I'm not one of those people who are going freak out because someone isn't wearing a mask, but I can tell you that I will not frequent a business that doesn't observe these very basic disease mitigation principles. In the same way, my office staff is all masked up and we will not serve someone who refuses to wear a mask.

GMIL in the last two days has been having tiny fevers on and off, around 99.2. This is a strange virus in that it just draws your body out in a long, exhausting fight. It's terrible. Instead of a big battle, it's like trench warfare.

I updated the OP. highlights since last update are remdesivir, serum treatment, and fevers that just keep coming back.
